Deuteronomy27:1 Moses commanded the people saying,"Keep all the commandments which I command you today". Moses was hearing from God,telling him how He wanted Moses to cross over into Jordan and prepare the large stone to then write on them the words of the His law{Ten Commandments}.
He did this and came back to share with the people,he found they didn't want to wait on him or the Lord, they had built their own idols to worship.
verse 14 says the Levites shall speak with loud voice and say to all the men of Israel:
"Cursed is one who makes a carved or molded image,an abomination to the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and set it up in secret".
On and on you read the curses that was given to these people if the worshiped their Gods and not the God that brought them out of Egypt.
**********************************************************
"The Blessings of Obedience" Deuteronomy 28
Verse 1 says:
"Now it shall pass,if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God,to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of earth.
America has to stand for Israel,America will not be blessed if we do not.
Read all of Deuteronomy 27 and 28, very telling.
This was to the Jewish people. Israel will stand no matter what the other countries want to do to them.
Those who do not stand for them will not be blessed and suffer very bad,God loves all and wants all to worship Him.
Have you wanted to share your thoughts and feelings to what we see happening today with what you have heard or read from the Bible, then come to Prophecy and Today-Connecting The Dots, lets talk.

America - The Land of No Restraint!
If I were to ask you what has made America great, your reply would partially be based from the type of glasses you viewed the nation under when growing up in an America home. To a conservative business family, it is the free enterprise system. To the average socially liberal American, our greatness is our tolerance. To people of faith who love the scriptures, America is great because the original foundation of our culture and society is rooted deep in the faith of our founders, which is the Christian faith brought by both Protestants and Catholics in the seventeenth century. However, an older wise man has said that the true greatness of America has been, at least in years gone by our discipline.
Years past it was required to serve in the military where young men learned discipline, honor and the words, “Yes Sir and No Sir.” When a child in the family went wild there was always a set line of discipline, including switches and belts, which are now banned from any form of discipline and today is considered “child abuse.” Growing up, when a senior entered a room the youth gave up their seat to honor the older among us.
I believe without a true revival of repentance and love of God, we are in danger of becoming like the Israel we read of in Genesis, where wild men will beat the door of a house down to get what they are lusting for (Gen 19). |
For at least the past three years there is a troubling trend emerging from coast to coast in North America. In the Northeast there are roving gangs of unemployed youth, called “flash mobs,” invading a store at once, grabbing everything they can and running out without paying, often costing the shop keeper $8,000 to $30,000 per “mob attack.” Prior to Christmas, there was a “limited” release of a new Michael Jordan tennis shoe that cost $180.00 a pair. In several cities, parents lined up for hours before store openings, and as the doors opened, fights broke out, police were called to guard malls and store doors were pulled off their hinges. In one store 20 people were pepper sprayed as fists were swinging to be sure to get their shoes. Imagine what would happen with a food shortage or if food transportation is disrupted. In our own town of Cleveland, a woman with several children walked up to one of my neighbors and said, “Hey mister…you got money so give me some of your money…I want some of your money.” She wasn’t asking for charity or food, which he would have provided, but was ranting about this man should hand her the money, or “her U.S. President” would get it from him in a few months anyway! This “you owe me something for nothing” thinking has spread and thus mobbing a store is only taking from the rich and giving it to those who feel they deserve a redistribution of the good.
I suggest that we should not be too surprised by the reaction of certain individuals who somehow feel that they are deserving of free money without working for it. For three years we have heard the importance of “redistributing the wealth,” and “the rich paying their fare share.” So if I am a youth, without a job, then I blame it on George Bush, the War in Iraq and Afghanistan, and set out to find who I can take something from; after all, it belongs just as much to me as it does the person that claims it is theirs. The very reason that Britain never joined the European Union (E.U.), was as the Queen once said, “Socialism will work until you run out of other people’s money,” which is what Greece, Spain, Portugal and Italy have recently discovered. France is at 12% unemployment, and recently both the E.U. and the Euro currency almost collapsed – that is until they received a 600 billion financial bailout.
The attitude of some in the Washington beltway reveals the arrogance of deceit. Knowing that democratic socialism is collapsing in Europe and that eventually power of the Unions will bankrupt the nation without a one world currency or a one world government, Americas politicians continue to “change’ the nation by walking the same burnt out road of the Socialists in Europe. America is losing its power of restraint and many people no longer have discipline, as when discipline goes out the door restraint follows in its footsteps. Thus, anger, frustration, yelling, hatred, fighting, stealing, and even killing will emerge from this new abyss of, “I deserve what you have so give it to me now!” I personally don’t like what I see occurring in this nation and I believe without a true revival of repentance and love of God, we are in danger of becoming like the Sodom we read of in Genesis, where wild men will beat the door of a house down to get what they are lusting for (Gen 19).

Pastor Facing Execution
Christian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani is facing new pressure to recant his faith in Jesus Christ. Sources in Iran have reported to us that an Iranian judge is once again telling him to deny Christ or he will be executed. He is still alive today because of international pressure on Iran – people worldwide raising their voices, demanding that his life be spared. We need to keep that pressure on, and the ACLJ is launching a new initiative. Please take action for Pastor Youcef; follow this link to take action and learn more. From working closely with Pastor Youcef's Iranian attorney, we know that the more people who speak out for him, the more pressure is placed on Iran to release him. It is absolutely critical that more people learn about Pastor Youcef's plight. Your voice has helped us get the White House, Secretary of State Clinton, Ambassador Rice, the United Nations and countless other elected officials and candidates for office to speak out for Pastor Youcef. While we continue to work through legal and diplomatic channels to set him free, we are now turning even more to social media in order to build on a consistent and growing call to save Pastor Youcef's life and for Iran to set him free. Take action. Lend your voice to Pastor Youcef by allowing the ACLJ to tweet once a day about Pastor Youcef from your Twitter account. If you are not on Twitter, please share this opportunity to speak for this persecuted Pastor by forwarding this message and by using the "Like" buttons in this email. His life depends on it. Thank you for standing with the ACLJ in defense of Pastor Youcef and persecuted Christians around the world. Jordan Sekulow P.S. With increased pressure from Iran for Pastor Youcef to recant his faith, he needs your voice more than ever. Visit our new Nadarkhani web page and lend your Twitter account, your voice, to Pastor Youcef.ACLJ Executive Director |

As world leaders declare concern about Iran's nuclear program, Russia and China support Iran's development of a weapon of mass destruction
There has been much talk recently about a possible preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear program by the Israeli Defense Forces and world leaders are voicing their concerns about a nuclear powered Iran with a weapon of mass destruction that is a threat to the entire world and now China and Russia come out with support for Iran's development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction. China and Russia are warning Western countries that additional pressure on Iran will not solve the nuclear standoff and they encourage more dialogue with the Iranians instead of tougher sanctions.
Both China and Russia have raised objections to a preemptive strike by Israel on Iran's nuclear program warning that such an attack would bring about a major war in the Middle East.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
As the Russians and the Chinese warn world leaders against any attack on Iran's nuclear program, the end of time scenario for these three nations comes better into focus as foretold in Bible prophecy.
The Iranian nuclear program that has been in question for a number of years has now become the debate of world leaders as to how they might deal with this growing problem. The European Union and the United States have endeavored to deal with the problem by implementing tough sanctions on Iran. A recent report by the United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency, the IAEA, concluded that Iran's nuclear program was for more than domestic use and it has a military element as well. With Israel talking more and more about a preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear program before the Iranians have a nuclear weapon of mass destruction, both Russia and China are now warning the world to back off of Iran.
The end of times scenario that's found in Bible prophecy discusses all the major players mentioned in this report; Iran, Russia, and China. Iran, referred to as Persia in Ezekiel 38:5, will be a major player in an alignment of nations who will attack the Jewish state of Israel in the last days. That coalition of nations will be led by Russia who is the Magog in Ezekiel 38:2. These nations will attack Israel at the beginning of the 7 year Tribulation period, a time of great conflict on this earth in the future (Ezekiel 38:8,11). China, a part of the kings of the east mentioned in Revelation 16:12, will lead all of the nations of the world against Israel in the last of that 7 year period.
China, Russia, and Iran are in place for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

‘Yes’ to Muslim President but ‘No’ to Sharia Gingrich says he would have no problem with a Muslim as president if he rejects Sharia law. US Muslims in uproar
First Publish: 1/23/2012, 1:23 PM
Republican presidential hopeful Newt Gingrich said he has no problem with a Muslim American president so long as he rejects Sharia religious law, a condition that has upset Muslims leaders in the United States.
Muslim journalist Ali Younes jabbed Gingrich with a loaded question last week in South Carolina before the state’s primaries, which Gingrich handily won. He told Gingrich that South Carolina has a governor from Indian origin and that a Jew and a woman formerly have run for president and vice president of the United States.
"Would you support a Muslim American running for president?” Younes asked. With a hint of what he may as the political future of the United States in coming years, Younes also asked, “Would you endorse...a Muslim-American, [who] could possibly be running for president?”
Gingrich did not flinch and replied, "A truly modern person who happened to worship Allah would not be a threat. A person who belonged to any kind of belief in Sharia, any kind of effort to impose that on the rest of us, would be a mortal threat."
“I am totally opposed to Sharia law being accepted by any court n the United States and I favor a federal law that pre-empts it and says Sharia law will not be used in any court.”
The Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim lobby in the United States, labeled Gingrich’s comments as evidence of his being "one of the nation's worst promoters of anti-Muslim bigotry.”
CAIR Legislative Director Corey Sayolor stated, "Newt Gingrich's vision of America segregates our citizens by faith. His outdated political ideas look backward to a time when Catholics and Jews were vilified and their faiths called a threat.”
Younes also questioned Gingrich on his statements that the “Palestinians are an invented people” and asked, “What do you suggest should happen to them? Should they become Israeli citizens?”
Gingrich answered, “If the Hamas and the PLO recognize Israel’s right to exist and they meant it, and they hunt down and stop the terrorists and the bombing, I would favor peace with the Palestinians and I would favor an independent Palestinian state.”
He added, "In November, 11 missiles were fired on Israel. That is not a peace process. That is war.”
Younes wrote for Al Arabiya Monday and quoted American Arab columnist Ray Hanania who argued that Gingrich's conditions are ”like the U.S. Congress asking the government to end crime in the streets of America as a condition of balancing the budget.”
Gingrich totally rejected the Arab world’s so-called “right of return,” a demand that millions of descendants of former Israeli Arabs be allowed to immigrate to Israel. “There is no natural right of return,” said Gingrich. “East Germans have no right of return to Poland, Greeks have no right of return to return to Turkey, and Poles have no right to return to Russia.”
In Younes’ article Monday, he quoted Arab American political analyst Osama Abu Katta as saying, “According to his argument, Jewish immigrants from around the world have no right to go to Palestine and take over that country claiming the right of return to their biblical lands.”

Hal Lindsey Report
This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
I've been in the ministry for more than fifty years. Yet I never cease to be surprised or disturbed (perhaps "outraged" may be a bit more accurate) when ministers and theologians attack Israel. When I say to my friends or colleagues, "Can you believe this?", I'm sure some of them are thinking, "Hal, just accept the fact that the world hates Israel!"
I do accept that. But what I never can accept is that the Church hates Israel!
Well, certainly not the whole Church, but large portions of it. This should come as no surprise to those of you who regularly watch "The Hal Lindsey Report." But on the other hand, like me, it probably does continue to surprise you if you love Israel and think all other Christians do, too.
Not true. In fact, there are large numbers of Christians, including many in liberal Protestant denominations, ministries, ecumenical associations, and para-church organizations that virtually despise Israel and what she stands for.
And that number is growing. And what's worse is that it's growing within Evangelical ranks.
Of course, you've heard me address this topic before when I've discussed the growing "Replacement Theology" movement. If you recall, those who promote "Replacement Theology" think that God reneged on His unconditional covenant with Abraham, scrapped the promises He made to his descendants, the Jews, and bestowed them upon the gentile church. So, when you read about the promises made to Israel in the Bible, you just replace "Israel" with "the Church." Never mind about the curses and judgments God pronounced against them. Apparently, those don't count.
I'm sorely tempted to label that a crock of lies, but I'll restrain myself for the sake of decorum. I will point out, however, that to believe that proposition is to essentially call God a liar.
You're probably asking yourself, "Why is Hal bringing this up now?"
Well, in just a few weeks, a group of church leaders and theologians -- the majority of them from the United States -- are gathering in Bethlehem (Judea, not Pennsylvania) to do one thing: demonize Israel. Their effort to de-legitimize the nation of Israel and, as a bonus, the Christian Zionism movement in America will take place under the guise of a conference entitled, "Christ at the Checkpoint."
The group has the audacity to state that they hope their deliberations will cause many of us American Christian Zionists to reconsider our position and "seek a proper (my emphasis) awareness of the issues of peace, justice, and reconciliation."
But they give the game away when they refer to Israel as an "illegal regime" and say that it has "reached a level of almost unimaginable and sophisticated criminality." Further, they don't make me feel all warm and fuzzy when they accuse many of us of being "accomplices in crimes against humanity, such as the crimes of apartheid and persecution..." by supporting Israel's right to exist. And just to make sure that we Christian Zionists understand where they're coming from, they say our beliefs are "a crime and sin as defying the core of the Gospel."
Well, that sure makes me want to donate a few bucks to the cause. How about you?
Seriously, though, to have a group of Christian ministers, theologians, and church leaders (some of whose names you may recognize) travel to Israel and declare to the world that the Jews are NOT God's "chosen people," as the Word describes them, but, rather, bastards and impostors (my words, not exactly theirs, but certainly their implication), is a bit unsettling. Wouldn't you agree? Further, to hear them proclaim that the land of Israel is not the Jews' documented inheritance from God, but belongs to the Palestinians (who are, as Newt Gingrich recently described them, an "invented" people), drips of heresy.
Can you believe this? Oops, there I go.
Well, you don't have to have a Ph.D. to guess what I'll be discussing on this week's program. Of course, I'll also give you some further background and other details. I'm sure you'll hear a lot that you need to know for future discussions with your friends, family, and colleagues.

Iran says they are ready to go to war with Israel
Iranian President Ahmadinejad, the Iranian military chief, and even the leadership of the Supreme Council of Iran, the Ayatollahs, the Islamic leaders, say that they are prepared for an attack from Israel, the United States, or any other nation that may decide to move against the Islamic Republic. The Iranian threat to the Middle East, Europe, and even to the United States, is the development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction in Iran that could be used to destroy the Jewish state as has been called for by the Iranian president.
Israel recognizes Iran as their number one threat and have put in place a strategic plan to make certain that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon of mass destruction that could be fired on the Jewish state and that plan may well be a preemptive strike against Iran.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The saber rattling by Iran against Israel and the fact that there is evidence Israel is preparing for a preemptive strike against Iran is a precursor to the prophetic scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.
There has been much discussion among Israeli officials in recent days that seems to indicate the Israeli government may well be ready to order a preemptive strike against Iran in order to dismantle Iran's development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction. Iran has responded to these discussions with a declaration of readiness to go to war with Israel. The Israeli government says they will not allow the Iranians to launch a long range missile with a nuclear warhead towards the Jewish state of Israel. Almost every Israeli leader believes that Iran is indeed Israel's number one threat and that they must be dealt with.
What is so interesting to me as a student of Bible prophecy is that this scenario was foretold 2500 years ago by the ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel. Ezekiel 38:5 mentions the nation Persia as one of the nations that will align themselves against the Jewish state. Until 1936 the nation of Iran was called Persia - today it's Iran. In the Scriptures we find out that the Lord will intercede in the affairs of man and destroy Iran and the other nations aligned against the Jewish state when they make their attack against Israel (Ezekiel 38:18 - 39:6).
Israel is as expected preparing to take care of their number one threat Iran. However, the Lord will be the one to defend the Jewish state that is according to Bible prophecy - Bible prophecy that will be fulfilled.
Israel recognizes Iran as their number one threat and have put in place a strategic plan to make certain that Iran does not have a nuclear weapon of mass destruction that could be fired on the Jewish state and that plan may well be a preemptive strike against Iran.

US stations two aircraft carriers opposite Iran, 15,000 troops in Kuwait
Barack Obama is busy aligning Middle East allies with the next US steps on Iran. Contributing to the mounting sense in Washington of an approaching US-Iranian confrontation, the Pentagon is substantially building up its combat power around Iran, stationing nearly 15,000 troops in Kuwait - two Army infantry brigades and a helicopter unit – and keeping two aircraft carriers the region. TheUSS Carl Vinson, the USS John Stennis which was to have returned to home base and their strike groups will stay in the Arabian Sea.
Iran is caught up in the same pre-war swirl of activity. Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani spent two days in Ankara this week. But Turkish leaders failed in their bid to sell their good offices as brokers for averting the expected collision between Tehran and the West. Before flying out of Ankara Friday, Jan. 13, Larijani commented: "We have different ways of doing things."
DEBKAfile's Iranian sources quote the Iranian official as telling his hosts that his country is prepared to take on any military aggressors. One of the responses weighed in Tehran to meet the rising military pressure might be an open declaration of Iran as a nuclear power. By accepting a visit by IAEA inspectors on Jan. 28 - to investigate charges that Iran is running a clandestine nuclear bomb program - Tehran may be moving toward that irreversible admission - or possibly its first nuclear test.
DEBKA-Net-Weekly 528 disclosed exclusively on Nov. 25, 2011 that Iran may soon publicize its attainment of a nuclear weapon, a step still being debated intensely at the highest levels of the Islamic regime in Tehran. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who will make the ultimate decision, is very much in favor of facing the world as a nuclear-armed Islamic Republic. He calculates that this fait accompli has a good change of warding off a Western and/or Israeli military attack.

Thursday night, Jan. 12, President Obama put in a call to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss coordinating US and Israeli moves for a military operation against Iran, which many US media believe to be imminent.
The New York Times wrote Friday under the caption: Dangerous Tension with Iran, "Many officials, experts and commentators increasingly expect some kind of military confrontation."

Obama had similar conversations with other Middle East leaders this week. The and Saudi and Qatari foreign ministers, Prince Saud al-Faisal and Sheikh Hamad al-Thani, spent two days on Jan. 10-11 in Washington talking to the US president. The contents of their talks were kept under tight wraps. Friday, British premier David Cameron suddenly turned up in Riyadh for talks with Saudi King Abdullah and Crown Prince Nayef.
Discussions on military preparations centering on Iran inevitably concern the need for urgent action to halt the unending carnage in Syria, Iran's close ally.

Thursday, the Russian National Security Adviser Nikolai Patrushev, one of Prime Minister Vladimir Putin's closest advisers, said ominously: "We are receiving information that NATO members and some Persian Gulf States working under the 'Libyan scenario' intend to move from indirect intervention in Syria to direct military intervention."
Moscow has consistently spoken out against any foreign intervention in the Syrian conflict – or even tough UN sanctions.
Russia's NATO ambassador Dmitry Rogozin has suggested more than once that the West would use a military adventure in Syria as the jumping-off point for an attack on Iran.
Another sign that Syria is under the military eye of the West came from an indiscreet comment Israel's Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Benny Gantz made Tuesday, Jan. 10 in a briefing to a Knesset panel. Israel, he said, is preparing to absorb members of Bashar Assad's Alawite sect after his downfall.
He later detracted his words. DEBKAfile disclose that the context of the general's comment was Israeli preparations to establish a buffer zone on the Syrian side of the Golan border to shelter Alawites fleeing the vengeance of their compatriots.
Turkey too has gone back to talking about setting up in northern Syria a Turkish buffer zone for refugees and anti-Assad dissidents.
Further fueling the war scare, two helmeted bombers on a motorbike assassinated the Iranian nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan, deputy director of the Natanz uranium enrichment center, in central Tehran Wednesday. Friday, Ayatollah Khamenei accused the United States and Israel of a CIA-Mossad master plan, which Iranian sources claimed bore the title "Red Windows" and focused on training Iranian dissidents for hit and sabotage operations in Iran.
The Doomsday Clock ticks one minute closer to Armageddon
The nuclear watchdogs at the Bulletin of Atomic Scientists reset the hands of the symbolic Doomsday Clock 5 minutes to midnight and they did this in response to what they see as a major danger in this world with the proliferation of nuclear activity around the world. The bulletin's scientific board includes Professor Stephen Hawking and 18 other Nobel Laureates who watch what they consider global threats and they have changed the time on this Doomsday Clock 18 times over the years.
Setting the clock to 5 minutes to Armageddon was to alert the world of the potential for nuclear destruction in the near future.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
As a group of scientists set the Doomsday Clock to 5 minutes before Armageddon, they do so to warn our world of a coming catastrophic event that is at least 7 years into the future - that is according to Bible prophecy.
Renowned scientists, including Stephen Hawking and 18 other Nobel Laureates, have warned the world of a nuclear danger that is very close in their opinion. To emphasize their concern they set the famous Doomsday Clock at 5 minutes before Armageddon as they see it. Their concerns come from the proliferation of nuclear development of weapons of mass destruction in many nations of our world with many other countries looking into the prospects for nuclear armament. North Korea and Iran are both developing nuclear weapons of mass destruction and this action has the world on edge. The only problem with this promotion of resetting the Doomsday Clock to 5 minutes before Armageddon is that Bible prophecy reveals that Armageddon is at least 7 years into the future.
The next event on God's calendar of prophetic events is the Rapture when all Christians are taken into heaven (Revelation 4:1). Revelation 4:2 - 19:10 gives us detailed information of the 7 year period of time known as the Tribulation, a terrible time of judgment on the earth. Revelation 19:11 foretells the return of the Messiah Jesus Christ to the earth and it is at that time that the Battle of Armageddon takes place - found in the rest of Revelation 19.
Even though scientists are wrong with the setting of the Doomsday Clock at 5 minutes before Armageddon, this time of judgment is indeed in our future. Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Israeli Defense Force soldiers enter the Temple Mount
For the first time in over 10 years Israeli Defense Force soldiers, in uniform, entered the Temple Mount in Jerusalem and toured the Al Aqsa Mosque, an activity that Israeli police had not permitted to happen because they said it would be dangerous if uniformed soldiers were allowed to enter the compound. The chairman of the Temple Mount heritage foundation, Yehuda Glick, met with Israeli officials to work out the details for this Temple Mount visit by the Israeli Defense Force soldiers and he praised the police and the soldiers and he said that he hopes this is only the beginning of a time when all IDF soldiers will tour the Temple Mount as a part of their military duties.
Glick said that IDF paratroopers have a special relationship with the Temple Mount because they reunited the city of Jerusalem by taking the Temple Mount militarily at the end of the Six Day War in 1967 and they believe that they should be allowed on this holy site at any time.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
Israeli Defense Force soldiers entering the Temple Mount brings back memories of the past but it also looks forward to a future time when all Jews will have complete access to this very sacred piece of real estate. That's a scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.
For a decade the IDF soldiers in uniform have not been allowed onto the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. On June 7, 1967, IDF paratroopers stormed the Temple Mount and reunited the city of Jerusalem for the first time in almost 2000 years. This visit by the uniformed IDF soldiers marks a major change in policy and may well set the stage for more access to this the most holy site in all of Judaism for all Jews.
The end of times scenario for the Temple Mount calls for a Jewish temple to be built on the Temple Mount and preparations for that temple have been completed. This next temple will be desecrated and Jews will be forced once again off of the Temple Mount. Jesus spoke about that in Matthew 24:15. At some point in the future Messiah Jesus Christ will return to Jerusalem and build His temple on this sacred piece of real estate (Zechariah 1:16, 6:12). The Messiah will reign from this spot over the entire world according to Zechariah 6:13.
Israeli Defense Force soldiers entering the Temple Mount today is a precursor to the fulfillment of Bible prophecy in a future tomorrow.

The Vatican has called for a central world bank
The Vatican recently called for a global public authority and a central world bank to rule over the financial institutions that have been at the center of the global economic crisis because they have become outdated and ineffective in dealing with this financial crisis. There are those who say that this proposal by the Vatican is music to the ears of the demonstrators around the world who are calling for economic equality for all.
The 18 page Vatican document says that if a central financial authority is not set up, the crisis at a social, political, and economic level could create a climate of growing hostility and even violence which will ultimately destroy the foundations of our world.
Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News
The recent call by the Vatican for a central world bank and a global economic authority fits the prophetic scenario that is found in Bible prophecy for the last days.
In our world today there is a global economic crisis that does not seem to be going away. Both the European Union and the United States face major financial problems that no one can find a solution for at the present time. There have been calls by members of the G-20, the 20 leading economies of this world, for a worldwide financial structure to resolve this global economic crisis.
Now the Vatican has released a plan that they believe will bring about the end of this financial crisis. In fact the Vatican plan says if there is not a resolution to the financial crisis violence will break out across the world. The Vatican plan with a central authority and a world bank is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.
The book of Revelation reveals that there will be a central authority to rule over a global economic structure and it will be headquartered in Babylon which is modern-day Iraq (Revelation 18). This economic system will cause all in the world to take an identification mark on their forehead or the back of their hand in order to be able to buy or sell any necessity of life (Revelation 13:16-17). The fulfillment of these prophecies will take place after the Rapture of the Church.
However, our present world crisis is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

U.S. and Israel Preparing for 'Biggest Defense Drill Ever'
The Israeli military is gearing up together with U.S. forces for a major missile defense exercise, the IDF announced Thursday.
The Associated Press reported that the “Austere Challenge 12” drill is designed to improve defense systems and cooperation between the U.S. and Israeli forces.
While the drill follows a ten-day Iranian naval exercise near the Strait of Hormuz, the IDF told AP the drill with the U.S. was planned long ago and is not tied to recent events.
Israeli and U.S. officials told AP the exercise would be the largest-ever joint drill by the two countries.
A few weeks ago, the Commander of the Third Air Force of the U.S Military, Lt. Gen. Frank Gorenc, arrived in Israel to prepare for the joint training exercise.
A spokesman for the IDF did not give a date for the drill Thursday, but a senior military official told AP it would be in the next few weeks, adding it would be the biggest missiledefense drill ever held.
The Israeli official said thousands of American and Israeli soldiers from different units would take part. He said the drill would test multiple Israeli and U.S. air defensesystems against incoming missiles and rockets.
The Islamic Republic followed its threat to close the Strait of Hormuz with another earlier this week, when Iranian army chief Ayatollah Salehi warned USS carrier John C Stennis not to return to the Persian Gulf after having left the area through the Straits of Hormuz in a "pre-planned, routine operation."
The U.S. responded to the Iranian threat with a calm statement read by Pentagon spokesman George Little and which warned Iran, "The deployment of U.S. military assets in the Persian Gulf region will continue as it has for decades."
On Wednesday, the IDF staged a surprise drill at its base at the port of Haifa as Iran completed its drill.
Haifa base commander Brigadier General Eli Sharvit, ordered the surprise drill to check the readiness of Israel Navy vessels to depart from port and head out to sea to conduct operation, the IDF said. A majority of the Israel Navy's operational strength is based in Haifa, which was bombed several times by Hizbullah terrorists in the Second Lebanon War in the summer of 2006.
Meanwhile, Martin Van Creveld, a military historian at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, estimated on Thursday that the joint Israel-U.S. drill was intended not only to practice military maneuvers but also to pressure Iran.
“Defending against an attack is not something that you improvise from today to tomorrow,” Van Creveld told AP. “It’s something you have to prepare, you have to rehearse, you have to prepare for. This, among other things, is an exercise to show Iran, the people in Tehran, that Israel and the United States are ready to counterattack.”

Iran’s warning
Despite its sabre-rattling in the Gulf, Iran’s options are limited
Jan 7th 2012 | from the print edition
AS IRAN’S ten days of muscle-flexing naval exercises in the Gulf drew to a close on January 2nd, the price of Brent crude rose by 4% to $112.13, the highest since mid-November. The increase reflected nerves over the bellicose tone of Iran’s pronouncements that accompanied its show of strength, amid fears that tension with America was becoming dangerous.
On December 28th Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, the commander of Iran’s navy, boasted that closing the Strait of Hormuz, through which tankers carry a fifth of all oil traded worldwide (nearly 17m barrels a day), would “be easier than drinking a glass of water”. This was swiftly followed by a warning from Washington that any attempt to close the 35-mile-wide strait would “not be tolerated”.

A few days later, Iran’s army chief, General Ataollah Salehi, raised the temperature another notch. After an American aircraft-carrier, the USS John C Stennis from the Bahrain-based Fifth Fleet, passed through the strait, General Salehi said: “Iran will not repeat its warning…the enemy’s carrier has been moved to the Sea of Oman because of our drill. I recommend and emphasise to the American carrier not to return to the Persian Gulf…we are not in the habit of warning more than once.”
There is little doubt that the naval exercises, known as Velayat 90, were intended as a response to the tightening of Western sanctions triggered by the November report of the International Atomic Energy Agency, the UN watchdog, which pointed to “strong indicators of possible weapon development” by Iran.
A new round of sanctions may be having an effect even before they come into force. On December 31st Barack Obama signed into law measures passed with large majorities in Congress that included barring foreign firms dealing with the Central Bank of Iran, the agency for half the country’s oil-related transactions, from access to America’s financial system. The value of the Iranian rial against the dollar promptly fell by 12%, though it has since recovered after the heavy intervention of Iran’s central bank.
The intended effect of this new sanction, which allows the president some discretion over its implementation, is to force countries such as Japan and China that are big purchasers of Iranian oil to choose between continuing to buy it and keeping access to the American market for their exports. In practice, Mr Obama is likely to allow big trading partners at least a temporary waiver to give them and the world oil market time to adjust. But Iran, which gets 80% of its revenues from oil exports, will be hard hit. If the European Union goes ahead with its own sanctions against Iranian oil exports, which is likely, the sense of being under siege will grow.
Judging how Iran will react in such circumstances is difficult. For all its sabre-rattling, it lacks the military clout to close the Strait of Hormuz for more than a few days. Nor would it be in its interests to do so unless oil exports had been cut to a trickle by sanctions. However, although the regional dominance of the Fifth Fleet is not in question, not to mention the other military assets America can deploy from local bases, Iran has invested shrewdly in a formidable capability for asymmetric warfare specifically designed to counter American technological superiority.
To that end, it has emphasised the procurement of numerous types of guided missile, many of them placed on light, highly mobile and relatively cheap platforms on land, in the air and at sea. These range from the mass-produced Seraj-1 missile and the Zolfaqar speedboat, which can travel at 80mph (130kph) and carries the Nasr anti-ship cruise missile, to a growing fleet of Ghadir midget submarines, the Karrar armed drone and mobile shore-based missile batteries. The Iranians believe that with “swarming” tactics in confined waters they may be able to overwhelm even the sophisticated defences of an American carrier group.
Iran could also strike at American economic interests in the Gulf, such as oil facilities and tankers, and block ships by laying mines, as it did during its war with Iraq in the 1980s. And it might deploy its paramilitary allies elsewhere in the region, such as Hizbullah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza and insurgent groups in Afghanistan, to create as much mayhem as possible.
Even so, Iran’s options are limited. The plight of the embattled Assad government in Syria has weakened its links to Hizbullah and Hamas. And although the government in Tehran knows it cannot risk an all-out confrontation with America, nor can it be easily confident of stopping just short of such a cataclysm if it continues to raise the stakes. Despite Iran’s recent bluster, caution will probably prevail. But the chances of miscalculation are already quite high—and getting higher.
