Throwing Israel Under the Bus

It seems even to a casual observer, that the Middle East nations are on the verge of a tsunami of division, civil strife and Anti-American protests. From the massive protests in Egypt to the deadly attack on the U.S. Embassy, the fire of hatred toward the west is being stoked by the embers of Islamic fanatics. The flames of anti-western sentiment are spreading like an uncontrollable wild fire, leaping across borders into over 10 nations, where protests, flag burning and burning effigies of the President are daily rituals.  In the center of this “Arab Spring” turned “winter,” is a small nation the size of New Jersey, called Israel.
Since the reestablishment of Israel in 1948, the Jewish state has been connected to America like an iron chain that cannot be cut. From the time of Harry Truman to the year 2008, Israel knew she had a trusted friend in America that “had her back” and would never allow her enemies to acquire weapons of mass destruction that would be used against the Jewish State.
Israel was a nation conceived in the mind of God from the very foundation of the world and is identified as God’s firstborn when the Hebrews served in Egypt.
The U.S. has special military contracts with Israel, providing updated military hardware, including planes and special missiles to help protect the state and to use in retaliation in the event of a sudden attack from her neighbors, which did occur in 1956 and in 1973.
Since 2008, there appears to have been a change made in the present administration as to how they perceive the importance of Israel as an ally and as a world player.  Months ago while on an open microphone, the French and American President were overhead making negative comments toward the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu. Also, it was reported that during a visit to the White House months ago, the Israeli Prime Minister was left in a room after the President left to go eat and make several cutting comments at the Prime Minister.  More recently Netanyahu came to the USA and the President of the U.S. refused to meet with Israel’s leaders, choosing instead to do a fundraiser with Hollywood stars.  In reality, we should not be overly surprised at this apparent “throwing Israel under the bus” for several reasons.  The former church the Obama’s attended was pastored by a minister who was quite anti-Semitic toward Israel and the Jews.  Minister Louis Farrakhan, the present leader of the black organization, The Nation of Islam in Chicago, was also a close friend to Obama and his wife Michelle, and it was Farrakhan who in the past called white people “white devils” and Jews “blue eyed devils.”  Being raised in an Islamic nation as a young boy, Obama may also have planted seeds of anti –Israeli sentiment that are planted deeply in the heart.   Remember, his name was Barry Sotero in Indonesia and he later in college changed his name back to Barak Hussein Obama, after his biological father; the first two names being common names in the Islamic religion.  Also, during college several of his roommates were from Pakistan, a strong Islamic nation.
In reality, based on in-depth research, the leader of the free world has little or no Biblical understanding of the spiritual link of Israel and America, neither the warnings given by God Himself revealing the significance of standing with God’s covenant nation.  Israel was a nation conceived in the mind of God from the very foundation of the world and is identified as God’s firstborn when the Hebrews served in Egypt.  God warned Pharaoh that if he did not release His people, His “firstborn,” God would slay the firstborn sons throughout Egypt (See Exod. 4:22-23). To some in our administration, Israel is no different from other nations and should not be treated with any special favors. Yet, Israel is now under the greatest threat in its history, in greater danger, and instead of meeting to resolve issues and two world leaders to be seen together confirming our resolve, the raising of money is more important instead of raising red flags of danger. If Israel is assaulted on our watch and Jews die because of our unwillingness to cover their back, we will end up like Egypt – bankrupt through the plagues of the Almighty.  God fights for His covenant and He will defend His people- and that includes the church that is in covenant with Him!

World leaders use the UN General Assembly to debate the dangers of the Iranian nuclear program

The UN General Assembly was the scene for a debate on the threat that Iran poses to the world as Iran develops a nuclear weapon of mass destruction and continues to call for the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel.

US President Obama played down the threat and called for a continuation of diplomacy while Iranian President Ahmadinejad said Iran has a right to develop a nuclear program and they will defend that program and he also brought to the table that Israel is a cancer in Ahmadinejad's plan for a New World Order without the Jewish state.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu told the world leaders there must be a red line on Iran's nuclear program even as the PM assured the UN member states that Israel will protect its nation possibly with a preemptive strike on Iran's nuclear program.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

World leaders discussing the possible destruction of the Jewish state of Israel on the stage of an international gathering of world leaders is a precursor to the end of times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

At the UN General Assembly held in NY City, leaders from the nations of our world gathered to discuss the problems facing us today. At the top of the agenda was the threat from Iran's nuclear program to Israel, the Middle East and in fact the entire world. Israeli PM Netanyahu says that the world needs to give Iran a red line on its nuclear program and if they go beyond that red line, the world must deal with the threat which might actually be a preemptive strike by the IDF on the Iranian nuclear program.

Bible prophecy does reveal to us that Iran and Israel will have a confrontation in the last days, Ezekiel 38:5. However, there is more prophetically to this present situation, and I am talking about an international, political, governmental body like the UN having this debate in the first place. Revelation 18 foretells of a one world government in the future that will be based in Babylon, modern day Iraq, and a world dictator will rule from his headquarters there in Babylon. That world leader is known in the Bible by 27 different names, the most familiar to you is the name, the Antichrist.

As world leaders debate the fate of Israel and how Iran is a threat that must be dealt with, let me remind you that Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfilled.

A massive naval exercise in the Persian Gulf prepares for war

An ongoing US-led naval exercise involving 20 nations from the Asia-Pacific, Europe, the Middle East, and North America is preparation in order to ensure rapid control of the Persian Gulf in case of a war with Iran.

The US said in cooperation with Arab and NATO allies they are operating in every section of the gulf with the exception of the Strait of Hormuz.

The fear in the Persian Gulf is that Iran might drop mines in the gulf or at the Strait of Hormuz in an effort to slow down freedom of navigation thus stopping the flow of much needed oil supplies to the entire world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As massive naval exercises take place in the Persian Gulf, the stage is indeed being set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Twenty nations from around the world have been involved in the US-led naval exercises in the Persian Gulf in order to protect the freedom of navigation in this strategic waterway in the Middle East. The flow of a majority of the world's oil supply must travel out of the gulf through the Strait of Hormuz for delivery globally. With the threat of a war with Iran on the horizon, preparation must be made to ensure stability in the gulf. It is reality that has caused many world leaders to be concerned about the Iranian threat. According to Bible prophecy this concern is valid and the Middle East could indeed explode into an all-out war with not only Iran but other Middle Eastern nations as well.

Ezekiel 38:5 mentions Persia, modern day Iran, as one of the alignment of nations that will bring about war to the Middle Eastern region. Syria and Egypt are listed in Bible prophecy as nations that will be in that mix as well, Daniel 11:40. Libya, mentioned in Daniel 11:43 and Ezekiel 38:5 will join this same coalition of nations which will focus on the Jewish state of Israel that will actually bring about a regional war in the last days. The focus of the world has been on this volatile region as saber-rattling continues daily.

Naval exercises in the Persian Gulf are an indication that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The Middle East nation of Iran has stepped up its crackdown on Christians

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has stepped up its campaign on Christians in its nation and Iranian Christians are in a dire situation concerned that this militant Muslim army will close down their churches and even imprison or kill the Christians living in this Islamic republic.

In Iran, the death penalty is imposed on those who convert from Islam to Christianity and those who embrace Christianity are targeted for persecution and even death.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The crackdown on Christians in Iran, and in fact across the entire Middle East, is only the tip of the iceberg as it relates to believers in Christ being persecuted in the last days according to Bible prophecy.

There have been a number of reports coming out of the Middle East that there has been an increase in the attacks on churches and Christians in this region of the world. A high ranking Muslim cleric in Saudi Arabia recently issued a fatwah calling for Muslims to attack all churches, kill Christians and in fact rid the Middle East of Christianity. Now, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, the militia of the supreme council of Iran, has increased their persecution of Iranian Christians and the closing down of churches in Iran.

The biblical book of Revelation written by the Apostle John records prophecies of the martyrdom of believers in Christ during the seven years of great judgment on the earth called the Tribulation. When Satan and his evil angels are thrown out of Heaven, Revelation 12, the Devil will try to eliminate all of those who stand for Jesus Christ. At the end of the Tribulation, to enter the Kingdom and rule and reign with Jesus Christ, Revelation 20:4. In addition, Jews who believe in Jesus Christ will be the focus of Satanic persecution as well during that period of time referred to as the Time of Jacob's Trouble, Revelation 12:13-17.

Iranian persecution of Christians is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Muslim Brotherhood tells their followers to prepare for war against Israel so they can kill Jews

Leaders and clerics in the Muslim Brotherhood are calling for their followers to prepare for war against Israel and one leading brotherhood cleric has called for killing Jews to the very last one. This is the brotherhood that has played a major role in the chaos in the Arab capitals of the Middle East.

As the Muslim Brotherhood rises to power in the Middle East, Israeli leaders see this as consolidating the power of Hamas and its hold on Gaza, a real concern to the Jewish state because the Hamas charter states unequivocally that it wants to eradicate Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With the rise of the Muslim Brotherhood and the so-called revolution in the Arab world, the endtime scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy comes much better into focus.

One of the major players in the chaos spreading throughout the Arab world is the Muslim Brotherhood, an Islamist terror group that has spawned such terror organizations as Hamas and al Qaeda. The ideology of the brotherhood was made clear by one of its leading preachers based in Qatar who in one of his sermons called for Israel and the Jews to be dealt with by Allah, the Islamic god, who should kill the Jews down to the very last one. This same Muslim Brotherhood preacher in a sermon aired on Al Jazeera claimed that Adolf Hitler was sent by Allah to punish the Jewish people. The brotherhood also supports Hamas, the Islamic Jihad, and Hezbollah, all Islamic terror groups who want to eradicate this world of the Jews.

The scenario being played out now in the Arab world was foretold by the ancient Jewish prophets, a message for the last days. Daniel and Ezekiel both revealed that the Arab world would come to power and move to kill the Jews, Daniel 11 and Ezekiel 38. The prophet Joel said this would happen when every Muslim would be ready to form the largest militia ever formed on the earth, Joel 2. Even the Psalmist prophet, Psalm 83 called for the Jews to be destroyed and their name be forgotten forever, Psalm 83:4.

The rise to power of the Muslim Brotherhood and their impact on Middle East events is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Muslim protests across the Middle East threaten to pull the entire region into a full blown war

In what the Muslim world calls protests against a documentary film depicting Mohammed in a derogatory way, the world is watching as the entire region seems to be moving quickly to what some term could be a full blown war.

The latest evidence is that these violent demonstrations which have which have resulted in many being killed including the death of the US ambassador to Libya, the evidence shows that these were not spontaneous protests but instead pre planned well organized attacks carried out by Islamists.

As the region continues to heat up the US is moving war ships into the region and all US embassies are on high alert to prevent any other death and destruction.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Muslim reactions to a documentary film supposedly attacking the Islamic faith seems to be overkill but may set the entire region afire which is what Bible prophecy says will happen in the end of times.

What started as a protest in Egypt of a documentary film attacking the Islamic faith turned violent when Islamists attacked the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya and killed US ambassador to Libya. These protests have spread across the Middle eastern region and they seem to be more violent as time passes. Because of the Arab Spring, there is an atmosphere of revolution in the air and demonstrators seem to feel free to kill and destroy. The Arab Spring, responsible for taking down the Arab leaders of these nations who used strong arm tactics to hold down such demonstrations are gone and violence has prevailed.

Bible prophecy, written 2500 years ago, reveals that this type of scenario will be prevalent in the last days. Ezekiel 38 mentions many of the nations that have been involved in embassy demonstrations. The Psalmist in Psalm 83 continues the list of nations involved in radicalism. The prophet Daniel foretold of the first two nations to get involved in radical violent actions. These two are Egypt and Libya, Daniel 40:40-43 where the King of the South is Egypt. Jesus Christ said as recorded in Matthew 24:6-7 that there would be wars and rumors of wars, nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.

Islamists have attcked the American embassy in Cairo, Egypt and the consulate in Benghazi, Libya and killed the US ambassador to Libya

In protest of a documentary film being shown in the US depicting the Islamic prophet Muhammad in a derogatory way, Islamists attacked the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya, burned the building and killed four Americans including the US ambassador to Libya.

In another Islamic protest in Cairo, Egypt, the rioters stormed the US embassy, tore down the US flag and replaced it with an Islamic flag.

The US has put all of its embassies in the Middle East on high alert as Muslims threaten to attack other US properties in protest of this controversial film that Muslims say is demeaning to the Islamic faith.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Muslim attacks on US embassies in the Middle East are evidence of the part religion plays in our world today and foretells of the key role it will have in the future, that is according to Bible prophecy.

With the attack on the US embassy in Cairo, Egypt and the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya, the world has witnessed the power of religion in our society today. The Muslim attackers claimed a documentary film being shown in the US depicted the Islamic prophet Muhammad in a derogatory way and they said they had to defend the honor of Muhammad and the Islamic god, Allah. Though the US was not responsible for the film, the Islamists blamed America and took out their revenge on US properties.

This is absolute evidence of the role of religion in our world today. Bible prophecy reveals an even larger role for religion in the future. Revelation 17 foretells of a world-wide religion that will rule the world during the first half of the Tribulation Period, that coming seven years of judgment. This mother-son cult, the result of the false religion established in Babylon 4500 years ago will be led by the Antichrist.

What is very interesting to me is that Islam will not be a part of that one-world religion. Because they are an exclusive religion, they will not collaborate with any other religions. The role for Islam will be limited because the Islamic faith will be wiped out early in the Tribulation Period, Ezekiel 38:18-39:6.

One of the advisors to the Pentagon tells me there will be another attack on America similar to the one that took place on 9-11 2001 sometime in the future

Col. Bob Maginnis, a broadcast partner with us here at Prophecy Today is at the site of the Pentagon 9-11 Memorial. I asked Bob to reflect on that horrific attack on the US in September 2001.

Col. Bob Maginnis, "Well in fact it was surreal Jimmy, it was a beautiful day here in Washington, a cool September morning and clear skies, I had been working on this guy called Osama Bin Laden and writing articles, but nobody was listening up until that time and subsequently, I eventually got home that night at about midnight and as I went down I-95 South there was nobody on the road I passed here at the Pentagon and the fire was burning and there were all sorts of fire trucks and of course when I got home the jets were flying over head."

Jimmy, "Bob tell me, has America learned anything from that attack?"

Bob, "I think we've learned, but we also have forgotten."

Jimmy, "Bob, I know you are a strategic planner by trade.  How likely is it that we will have another strike on America? On a scale of 1-10 where would you put it?"

Bob, "We're going to have another strike. It's a matter of how and when. So it's a 10. It's a matter of how bad it's going to be and that's my concern. All you have to do is get places like Syria, Iran, North Korea, China, Russia and then of course our adversaries in the terrorist realm. They've been clamoring for these agents for a long time so we know the threat, we have to be vigilant,  you never know when they're going to strike or how they're going to strike. I think most of the time, 99% of the time we're going to be able to beat the offense but it only takes a couple of times to get through and many people could die."

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The statement by a military strategic planner that there will be another 9-11 type strike on America is evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Jesus Christ, in His Olivet Discourse 2000 years ago there in the city of Jerusalem, said there will be wars and rumors of wars, nations will rise against nations, kingdoms against kingdoms, Matthew 24:6-7. The ancient Jewish prophets, Daniel, Ezekiel, Joel and John the Revelator also foretold of the last days and all the wars that will be a part of the seven year Tribulation Period yet in the future.

As we stop to remember the horrific attack on America, September 11, 2001, let it remind us that Bible prophecy will indeed be fulfille

An Islamic cleric in Israel says that he would rather die than to see the rebuilding of a Jewish Temple in Jerusalem

Sheik Raad Salah, the leader of the Islamic movement in Israel and speaking to Muslim students at Haifa University, told them that he would rather die than to give up the Islamic holy site where the Dome of the Rock is located in Jerusalem, the Temple Mount, and suggested the students should be ready to do the same. Sheik Salah also repeated his claim that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu was intending on completing his plan to gain control of the Temple Mount and to rebuild the Jewish temple on the site that Moslems believe is holy - the third holiest site after Mecca and Medina.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Muslims that would give their lives to protect and possess the Temple Mount in Jerusalem area actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Temple Mount in Jerusalem is becoming more and more a center of controversy. The Temple Mount is the third holiest piece of real estate for Muslims. To the Jews, it the most holy site in all of the world and the site of the first and second Jewish temples . Muslims who are ready to die to protect and possess this site would fit a scenario that will be played out in the last days according to Bible prophecy.

Zechariah said that the Temple Mount would be the center of controversy in the end times (Zechariah 12:2). Isaiah, Ezekiel, and Joel said that the Moslem world would come to Jerusalem to take it from the Jewish people (Isaiah 51:3, Ezekiel 36:35, and Joel 2:3). Ezekiel also wrote of a temple on the Temple Mount for the Messiah to rule and reign from that location (Ezekiel 40 - 46). Ezekiel's temple is the temple for the kingdom period in the future.

The next temple to be erected on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem will be the one standing during the seven year Tribulation period (Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1). However, this next temple will not be built until after the Rapture when Christians depart from Earth for the heavens. Until that time, no one can build the temple even Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Genesis 47:13-27 ALL I CAN SAY ABOUT THIS IS WOW!!! RECENT VIRGINIA CHURCH SERVICE - STIMULUS SERMON

I would love to give the Pastor of this predominantly black church in
Virginia three cheers. This guy is obviously a leader. Perhaps we should
each decide who our real leader is... It is amazing to see that very little
has changed in 4,000 years.

Good morning, brothers and sisters; it's always a delight to see the pews
crowded on Sunday morning, and so eager to get into God's Word. Turn with me
in your Bibles, if you will, to the 47th chapter of Genesis. We'll begin our
reading at verse 13, and go through verse 27.

Brother Ray, would you stand and read that great passage for us? ...
(reading) ... Thank you for that fine reading, Brother Ray. So we see that
economic hard times fell upon Egypt, and the people turned to the government
of Pharaoh to deal with this for them. And Pharaoh nationalized the grain
harvest, and placed the grain in great storehouses that he had built. So the
people brought their money to Pharaoh, like a great tax increase, and gave
it all to him willingly in return for grain. And this went on until their
money ran out, and they were hungry again.

So when they went to Pharaoh after that, they brought their livestock -
their cattle, their horses, their sheep, and their donkey - to barter for
grain, and verse 17 says that only took them through the end of that year.
But the famine wasn't over, was it? So the next year, the people came before
Pharaoh and admitted they had nothing left, except their land and their own
lives. "There is nothing left in the sight of my lord but our bodies and our
land. Why should we die before your eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and
our land for food, and we with our land will be servants to Pharaoh." So
they surrendered their homes, their land, and their real estate to Pharaoh's
government, and then sold themselves into slavery to him, in return for
grain.

What can we learn from this, brothers and sisters?

That turning to the government instead of to God to be our provider in hard
times only leads to slavery? Yes... That the only reason government wants to
be our provider is to also become our master?

Yes. But look how that passage ends, brothers and sisters! Thus Israel
settled in the land of Egypt , in the land of Goshen . And they gained
possessions in it, and were fruitful and multiplied greatly." God provided
for His people, just as He always has! They didn't end up giving all their
possessions to government, no, it says they gained possessions! But I also
tell you a great truth today, and an ominous one.

We see the same thing happening today - the government today wants to "share
the wealth" once again, to take it from us and redistribute it back to us.
It wants to take control of healthcare, just as it has taken control of
education, and ration it back to us, and when government rations it, then
government decides who gets it, and how much, and what kind. And if we go
along with it, and do it willingly, then we will wind up no differently than
the people of Egypt did four thousand years ago - as slaves to the
government, and as slaves to our leaders.

What Mr. Obama's government is doing now is no different from what Pharaoh's
government did then, and it will end the same. And a lot of people like to
call Mr. Obama a "Messiah," don't they? Is he a Messiah? A savior? Didn't
the Egyptians say, after Pharaoh made them his slaves, "You have saved our
lives; may it please my lord, we will be servants to Pharaoh"? Well, I tell
you this - I know the Messiah; the Messiah is a friend of mine; and Mr.
OBAMA IS NO MESSIAH! No, brothers and sisters, if Mr. Obama is a character
from the Bible, then he is Pharaoh. Bow with me in prayer, if you will...

Lord, You alone are worthy to be served, and we rely on You, and You alone.
We confess that the government is not our deliverer, and never rightly will
be. We read in the eighth chapter of 1 Samuel, when Samuel warned the people
of what a ruler would do, where it says "And in that day you will cry out
because of your king, whom you have chosen for yourselves, but the LORD will
not answer you in that day..."

And Lord, we acknowledge that day has come. We cry out to you because of the
ruler that we have chosen for ourselves as a nation. Lord, we pray for this
nation. We pray for revival, and we pray for deliverance from those who
would be our masters. Give us hearts to seek You and hands to serve You, and
protect Your people from the atrocities of Pharaoh's government. In God We
Trust...

U.S. Tells Iran: We Won't Join Israeli Attack Large Israeli newspaper: message is intended to prevent Iranian response against U.S. targets in Gulf.

Senior officials in the ObamaAdministration sent a message to Tehran in the past few days, according to which the U.S. does not intend to join Israel's side if it decides to attack the Iranian nuclearinstallations on its own, reports Israel's second-largest paper, Yediot Aharonot.
According to the report, the U.S. sent the message to Iran in order to avoid an Iranian response military response that would target U.S. installations in the Gulf region.
The message was reportedly conveyed to Iran through two European countries that serve as a conduit of communication between Iran and the U.S. in times of crisis.
Nationalist newspaper Makor Rishon has accused Yediot Aharonot of working with the Obama Administration against the Netanyahu government's planned strike on Iran.
