The Vatican released a statement that the late Pope John Paul was being considered for sainthood. I spoke with broadcast partner Mike Gendron in Dallas, TX to find out the process for how the former Pope would qualify for sainthood and then I ask him was Pope John Paul qualified to be a saint.
Mike Gendron: The process to become a saint in Catholicism includes inquiries into the person's life, reputation, and activities and then a thorough examination of the person's written and spoken words. So, this should disqualify John Paul when you consider that he publicly declared that Allah was the one true god, he praised Mohammed as a true prophet, he declared that Jesus is not necessary for salvation when he said, "All who seek God with a sincere heart including those who do not know Christ will enter God's Kingdom".
He also embraced Evolution. Regarding his moral character, he ordered bishops and cardinals to conceal and protect priests who sexually molested boys and then he decreed that the victims should be subject to excommunication if they divulge the identity of the offending priest. This is a look at John Paul's life. If you look at that through the lens of Scripture, he would not be considered a saint but a false prophet who Catholics need to be warned about.

The process to naming the former Pope John Paul as a saint is actually the pathway for the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
In Catholicism one becomes a saint by performing miracles. Jesus Christ in His Olivet Discourse, Matthew 24 said that deception would be the greatest sign indicating that we are living in the last days and His Second Coming is soon to take place. Matthew 24:4, 5, 11, and 24 talks about the deception that would happen and in verse 24 the deception would be communicated through signs, wonders, and miracles. That is what we see happening in the location where we see the false church will be setup in Rome, Italy.

Today is tame compared to what it will become
Dear Friend,
You turn on the television and see incredible moral depravity — not only on display, but celebrated. You read the news and find yet another incident of corruption and scandal, violence, and terrorism. You look at the world and witness astonishing turmoil, as new forms of evil are seemingly invented daily.
Yet imagine this: our world today is tame compared to what it will become.
Though it may seem that there are no restraints in our world, the Holy Spirit is actually acting as a restraining influence right now … holding back the dark, satanic tide of perversion and lawlessness.
But the world continues to beat against this dam — begging, practically demanding, to be given over completely to its own wickedness. As Paul writes to Timothy, "… but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth …" (2 Timothy 4:3-4, NKJV).
The end is fast approaching. During the Tribulation, God will remove the holy barriers He has set up in the world and essentially "give them what they've asked for."
It will be terrifying to live in those last days … Horrific devastation. Uninhibited violence. Massive earthquakes. Rampant immorality. Intense wildfire. Global chaos.
But I have good news for you — and for all who love the Lord:
We will not be here.
Followers of Christ will disappear from the face of the earth, instantly and without warning, in the Rapture. Those who are taken in this event will be spared the trauma of death and the impending disasters that will occur when the Tribulation breaks out.
But being spared from this danger will not be the main source of our joy in the Rapture —
— rather, finally being with the Savior we love so much will be the cause of our celebration. As the Bible describes it, Jesus will descend into the clouds, and all believers, living and dead, will suddenly meet Him in the air.
So, even though we see the world spiraling down on a path to self-destruction, we take comfort in Christ's own words: "Let not your heart be troubled … I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also" (John 14:1, 3, NKJV).

The US Congress is funding a hate mechanism called the Palestinian Authority
PMW Director Itamar Marcus in Washington, D.C. there to tell the US Congress they are funding hate and terrorism among the Palestinian people. Here is what Itamar had to tell me about that visit to Washington, D.C.
Itamar Marcus: We met with members of Congress and we were showing them what was happening with American funding of the Palestinian Authority. The US has good intentions. They are hoping to build infrastructures of the PA because they are hoping that it will then be able to create a peaceful state, but what we were documenting, and we were showing them that they are also paying for TV programs where you have little children on TV saying that Christians and Jews are inferior and despised and it calls for the Muslim world to literally counter the Jewish and Christian world to defeat the Jewish and Christian world and I am talking about children's programs.
The minister of prisoners of the PA visits every week with some of the families of prisoners who have killed dozens of Israelis and he honors those prisoners, he calls them heroes and who is paying his salary, the PA, who is paying them money for that, the US. The US with all of its good intentions is actively funding a hate mechanism called the PA, a terror promoting and glorifying mechanism called the PA and Congress is now being made aware of this and the question is what to do about it so it can really have an impact and change the PA.
Jimmy: Itamar Marcus, head of Palestinian Media Watch, they monitor the Palestinian electronic and print media and because of that responsibility it gave capability to address some members of the US Congress with the concerns that Israel has as the US Congress continues to fund the PA.

The radical Palestinian groups to day are killing Jews and endeavoring to take their land. That scenario was foretold in Bible prophecy 2500 years ago. You could go to a number of passages in Scripture: Malachi 1, the little book of Obadiah, Jeremiah 49 and find out about this scenario, but speaking to the issue most distinctly is Ezekiel 35 which reveals that the Lord will judge the Palestinian people for killing Jews, verse 5 and in verse 10 for taking their land.
This is the present day scene in Israel and as the US Congress continues to fund hate and terrorism being perpetrated upon the Jewish people by the PA, the stage is being set for end time prophecy to be fulfilled.

The new Iranian president is a radical Islamist presenting himself as a moderate
The world media says that Hassan Rohani is a moderate. He is the new president of Iran and everyone is claiming, all the political leaders across the world and especially the world media, that he is indeed a moderate and they will be able to work with him in the future. However, Ken Timmerman, our broadcast partner in Washington, D.C. has done some investigation on this man and has a different story than what the world media is saying.
Ken Timmerman: Jimmy fool me once with a moderate in Iran and shame on you, fool me twice shame on me, fool me three times because that is what we are reaching now and we are just out to lunch. We have no historical sense. I do not know what kind of briefings the CIA has been giving to the President and to Congress for them to welcome Rohani as some kind of reformer.
This is a man who was very, very close to Ayatollah Homenei during the revolution. He has been in the inner circle of the clerics from the very get go. This is a man who has also been deeply engaged in terrorism. He was on this inner committee that authorized the bombing of the Argentinian-Jewish Community Center in Buenos Aires in July 1994, 86 people were killed, he authorized the crackdown on a student rebellion in 1999. This guy is no moderate, he is a smiley face put on a brutal dictatorship.

The Arab League warns Israel: Don't touch the Muslim Temple Mount
The Arab League made up of twenty-two Arab member states has issued a warning to Israel to stay away from al -Aqsa Mosque which is located on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. This location is a very sacred spot for the Jewish people and the location of the first and second Jewish Temples over a one thousand year period of time.
Surprisingly, the Arab League's statement termed, "the Mosque on the Temple Mount" - the holiest of the Arab and Islamic holy sites which is contrary to Islamic law that sets Mecca as Islam's holiest site. The Arab League statement said al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line that must not be crossed and any attack would endanger the safety and the stability of the entire Middle Eastern region.

The Arab League's warning to Israel not to touch the Muslim Temple Mount is contradictory to history and Bible prophecy as well.
The Arab League, an organization of 22 Arab states, is very strong in the Middle East and when they issue a warning, it should get everybody's attention. The Muslim world does have custodial responsibility over the Temple Mount but not to the extent that it can be referred to as the Muslim Temple Mount. History contradicts these Muslim claims.
The Bible states that King David captured the Jebusite stronghold of Jerusalem in 1048 BC. This is the time when David made Jerusalem the political capital of the Jewish people, II Samuel 5. Several years later, King David made Jerusalem the spiritual capital of the Jewish people when he brought the Ark of the Covenant into the city. In 1012 BC, Solomon, David's son, built a Jewish Temple on the Temple Mount referred to as Mt. Moriah in II Chronicles 3:1. Mt. Moriah is that sacred spot where Abraham offered his son Isaac as a sacrifice unto the Lord, Genesis 22 in 1872 BC. This history lesson proves that the Temple Mount belongs to the Jews and has belonged to them for almost 4000 years. In addition to that, Bible prophecy says the Temple Mount will be where the Lord will dwell among the Jewish people, His people forever, Psalm 132:13-14.
History has been recorded and Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The end times philosophy of Replacement Theology is dangerous
In Jerusalem, a group of Orthodox Jewish scholars have gathered together and their conclusion as they look at the philosophy of Replacement Theology is that it is dangerous and it is anti-Semitic as well. I asked Christian Theologian Dr. John Whitcomb is Replacement Theology dangerous?
Dr. John Whitcomb: It is very, very dangerous, in fact you read in Psalm 83 someday all Israel's enemies surrounding them will say come let us wipe them out as a nation, let the name of Israel be remembered no more, let us possess for ourselves the pastures of God. Well friends, God knew about this thousands of years ago obviously what His plan was for Israel, but read in Ezekiel 37, He's going to bring those dry dead bones as I could never have believed as a soldier in WWII as I saw the results of the Holocaust and concentration camps, six million Jews dead in Europe. I never believed in 1945 I would live to see six million Jews back in their promised land. What a miracle! Not a supernatural miracle, but a providential miracle of God to prepare for the real miracle which is the conversion of the nation.
Jimmy: These Orthodox Jews say that the very existence of a Jewish state is actual evidence which disproves Replacement Theology.

Israel as a nation today disproves the anti-Semitic Replacement Theology that is a part of some church doctrine in our world today and is actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.
Replacement Theology is incorrect from a logical prospective, a Biblical prospective, and a prophetic prospective as well. Logically, the fact that there is a Jewish state in the Middle East today 65 years of age is indicative of the fact that God does have a plan for the Jewish people which would disprove Replacement Theology.
Biblically, Replacement Theology is disproved when you think about the covenants God gave the Jewish people. Prophetically, Ezekiel 37 says the Jews will be gathered from all over the world, come back into the land of their forefathers, and be a state once again. Ezekiel 38 talks about an Alignment of Nations that will try to destroy the Jewish people and Ezekiel 40-46 talks about a temple that will be on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. All of these are indicative of the fact that God does have a plan for the Jewish people.

The Turkish PM Tayyip Erdogan wants to lead the Islamic world
Jimmy: Demonstrations in Turkey have focused on a city park in the center of Istanbul, however that is not the real story nor the reason behind all of these demonstrations in Turkey. Tayyip Erdogan who is an Islamist, a radical, has a desire to lead the Islamic world. We know this because of his background when he was the mayor there in Istanbul. With the latest on this information, a Turkish journalist, Atilla Tuna gives us this report.
He was the mayor of Istanbul and he went to prison for six months while he was mayor because in one of his speeches he read a poetry from an Islamic poet, but the problem was not the poem it was the words in the poem. In his words he said, "The minarets are our weapons and the domes of the minarets, of the mosques, are our helmets", with those words he was trying to provoke people to riot against the regime, that was the reason why he was arrested. Later on he developed his own political party which is the present ruling party in Turkey, so that's how he started and he continues.
I've heard that Tayyip Erdogan has grandiose desires, he would like to be the pan-Islamic leader. Is that still the case?
Atilla: Yes, that is the case. He is a very influential leader in the Middle East among the Islamic party. For example, he is very influential among the Muslim brothers in the Egyptian government. He is a very good friend of Hezbollah in Lebanon and Israel. He has good relations with many Islamic extreme groups around the world.
Jimmy: Atilla Tuna with information about Tayyip Erdogan and his desire to be the pan-Islamic leader, the leader of the Islamic world and advance Islam all across the world.

The Bible tells us in the book of Ezekiel 38:2, 6 that Turkey will be one of those major players in the end times as we see an Alignment of Nations going against the Jewish state of Israel. In Ezekiel 38:2 it talks about Meshech and Tubal, in verse 6, Gomer and Togarmah and they will be on the stage in the end times as they endeavor to try to destroy the Jewish state of Israel and setup a worldwide kingdom.

Al Qaeda is calling for Jihad, a holy war

Dr. Al Zawari who is the head of Al Qaeda is calling for a Middle Eastern Jihad, a holy war, and he wants the Islamic world to join him in this battle. Ken Timmerman covers geo-politcal activities for us and he is in Washington, DC with this report.
Ken Timmerman: It is actually a bit funny because Zawari is trying to divert attention from the failure of Al Qaeda in Syria to overthrow Assad and at the same time in this statement he is throwing stones at the Iranians who in the past have been his biggest supporters. Zawari was the man who along with Imad for the Iranians who solidified the Al Qaeda-Iran connection back in the 1990's.
He has historically been the leader in Al Qaeda who has promoted a Sunni-Shia healing process, a unity between Sunnis and Shias and now in fact he is breaking off from that, he is accusing the Iranians of trouble making in Syria and he has essentially joined Yousef Kawadowi, the Palestinian preacher on Al Jazeera who called for a Jihad against Iran and Syria just last week. So, calling for holy war against Israel is just his way of patching up this increasing Sunni-Shia divide trying to divert attention from that and focus it on the Muslims traditional whipping boy.

This will be an alignment of Islamic states to attack the Jewish state of Israel and only God will be able to save the Jewish people, Ezekiel 38:18-39:6.

The Jewish state of Israel is making preparations as the war clouds gather

Syria at Israel's Northern border is making preparations to enter the Golan Heights which could break into an all out war in the Middle East. David Dolan, our journalist who covers the Middle East, has the latest information on this story.
David Dolan: Basically what you have is one of the world's ten most militarized countries on earth is Syria. Experts believe either the second or third, some say fourth but one of the top five chemical weapons programs on earth. They have more chemical weapons in Syria than China has or Russia has according to the experts so this is very significant. And they have massive missile capability, Soviet built SS-21 missiles, I have mentioned those before on your program, multiple warhead missiles that one rocket delivers six different warheads to six different locations.
They have hundreds of those. They have the latest scud missiles. They have anti-aircraft systems that are very sophisticated. We don't even know but they could even have nuclear capability. The regime was building a nuclear reactor as you'll recall Israel bombed that in 2007, September and destroyed it, North Koreans were involved. This is a major military power in Syria and these Sunni Muslim forces from not just Syria but from all over the region, Al Qaeda involved and other very unsavory elements involved in the opposition fight and the regime which is certainly no lover of Israel. It is a very serious situation and the Israelis are following it day by day taking reactions as they must.

Remember Isaiah 17 says that Damascus will be destroyed at the same time Daniel 11 will be fulfilled as well. Bashar Assad said the other day, "Destroy Damascus and I will still win".

The last Jews in Ethiopia prepare for a trip to the promised land
The last 2000 Ethiopian Jews are preparing to immigrate to Israel which will mark the first and only time an entire country's Jewish population will leave their homeland and travel to the land of their forefathers, traveling to what they claim to be God-given land.
Operation Moses in 1985, when as many as 20000 Ethiopian Jews left for Israel, many of them by foot through Sudan saw the first immigration of these Jews of Ethiopia to the Jewish state of Israel.
In May of 1991, 15000 Ethiopian Jews were crowded into a series of non stop air flights over a 36 hour period of time into Israel in what was called Operation Solomon - most likely the greatest airlift in history.

The ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel foretold of a time when the Lord would bring all Jews from the four corners of the earth back to the homeland, the land of the Jewish forefathers, Ezekiel 34. In fact, another Jewish prophet, Zephaniah wrote 2500 years ago that the Lord would bring the Ethiopian Jews back home as well, Zephaniah 3:10. The return of the Ethiopian Jews is only part of the entire Jewish world coming back to Israel and establishing a Jewish state which is foretold in Ezekiel 37:7-8. Out of 108 nations of the world over the last 100 years Jews have been coming home and the remaining Jewish worldwide community will do the very same thing in the near future.

The folks in Oklahoma and in Israel have something in common.
The folks in Oklahoma and in Israel have something in common. They both want to build more shelters in schools and homes.
Of course, in Oklahoma they need shelters from tornadoes. In Israel, they need shelter from rockets.
Some analysts say Hezbollah may possess more than 60,000 rockets and missiles. Syria more than 100,000. And Syria also controls the third largest stockpile of chemical weapons in the world.
Many Israeli homes and schools already contain 'safe rooms' or bomb shelters, but they're only built to provide protection from conventional rockets or missiles. Israel's leaders are so concerned about the threat of chemical or biological weapons attacks that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has ordered gas masks and kits for all Israelis.
To be an Israeli today means feeling surrounded. You have sworn enemies in Lebanon and Syria to the north; enemy sympathizers in Iraq, Jordan, and Saudi Arabia to the east; armies of terrorists across your border to the south in the Sinai peninsula; beyond that, a rapidly deteriorating peace with Egypt; and sworn enemies within your borders in Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Fatah and the PLO in the West Bank.
And looming above them all is Iran.
Last week, Iran publicly displayed a new group of TELs, or Transporter Erector (Missile) Launchers. They are launch platforms for Iran's Shahab-3 ballistic missiles. Based on a North Korean design, Iran's missiles have a range of 1,200 miles and can carry cluster warheads containing up to 1,400 bombs each.
The idea was to demonstrate Iran's growing firepower and ability to overwhelm Israeli missile defenses with a barrage of ballistic missiles.
On top of that, as Iran prepares for its upcoming presidential election to replace Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the mullahs are bracing for another round of citizen unrest and protest over what will surely be another rigged election. Based on the massive protests that followed the last presidential election, if the ayatollahs feel that they're losing their grip on the nation, it's not inconceivable that they may decide to engage Israel to switch focus from the domestic turmoil.
Recently, two leading military figures, retired generals James Cartwright, former Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Amos Yadlin, former head of the Israel Defense Forces Military Intelligence, published a joint document. In it, they put forth a theoretical sequence of events and speculated that eventually U.S. President Barack Obama will realize that inaction is more dangerous than action. Cartwright and Yadlin believe that he will decide to act to stop Iran's progress toward nuclear weapons. And they argued that it must be America that leads the effort, not Israel.
What they say obviously makes sense, but what will our scandal-beleagured President actually do? What do you think?
Based on the reasoning behind his recent assertion that the "war on terror" (though he refuses to use that phrase) is basically over -- and we won -- I would speculate that he won't feel inclined to do much of anything about Iran.
Ironically, despite what the administration would have us believe, most Americans realize that the war against terrorists is far from over. And if you're keeping up with what's happening in Syria, you are probably concerned that the organization that President Obama claims we have defeated -- al Qaeda -- is leading the fight against President Bashar al-Assad, and we're arming them!
So we are arming and assisting a terrorist organization that President Obama recently claimed we have decimated.
That makes as much sense to me as does the claim by one of Mr. Obama's appointees, U.S. Attorney Bill Killian in Tennessee, that the First Amendment was written to protect the government from the influence of Christianity. The Department of Justice strikes again!
I see the fingerprints of American university professors all over his ignorance. Will someone please inform Mr. Killian that he has it backwards. The First Amendment was written to protect Christianity, and all other religions, from the government!
Sad to say, the more we learn about the Department of Justice, the scarier it becomes.
And finally, Margaret Chan, the Director-General of the World Health Organization, recently labeled a new virus that seems to have originated in Saudi Arabia as a "threat to the entire world." MERS-CoV is a cousin to the mysterious SARS virus that killed thousands around 2002.
Unfortunately, this is just the latest in a growing number of plagues, viruses, and "pestilences" that are wreaking havoc across the world. Included among these are "superbugs" like MRSA, the stubborn and aggressive staph infection that kills up to 40,000 Americans a year. MRSA is making it dangerous even to go to the hospital for a routine procedure.
And worse, these superbugs are resistant to all our drugs and antibiotics. In fact, our success at combating them has backfired. Instead, our antibiotics have killed off the weaker strains and left only the strong to survive and reproduce.
Scientists at Duke University estimate that "even with the use of pesticides, over one-third of our food is lost to pests." One third. That's a present day pestilence of Biblical proportions.
I think it's safe to say that we are living in a "time of pestilence." In Luke 21, Jesus warned that in the last days "there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences."
On this week's program, I'll name just a few of the plagues and pestilences that are engulfing our world. I think you'll be stunned to see how precisely Christ's description of these days is being fulfilled.
