There is a growing number of prophecy teachers that do not believe that the Bible is the final authority for future events

Recently at Pike's Peak in Colorado there was a prophecy conference that used a new approach to teaching Bible prophecy. Our broadcast partner David James explains the term which refers to the new approach, the term "Post-modern prophetic paradigm".

David James: When we talk about post modernism in general we're talking about moving into a realm of philosophy and thought where there are no absolutes, that there are many sources of relative truth, that you can look to multiple places to try to get your ideas, truth can be found in any number of places and also isn't just simply something that's objective, that would be post modern.

Then, they are combining these ideas into trying to develop a prophetic view of the future eschatology, end times. There's a convergence of a lot of different strands. A paradigm is simply a model. There's an emerging model of the future eschatology trying to combine ideas from the Bible, from ancient civilizations, from bio technology, just a number of different strands they're trying to put together to layout a potential future scenario.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

False teachers departing from God's Word to teach Bible prophecy is actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The new approach to teaching Bible prophecy, a post-modern prophetic paradigm goes outside the boundaries of the Word of God, Genesis 1:1-Revelation 22:21, and they go outside of these boundaries in an effort to bring information to the table in their teachings of Bible prophecy. This allows for another spirit, the spirit of Satan to influence their thinking. The Apostle Peter wrote 2000 years ago that we have a more sure Word of prophecy, the Bible, II Peter 1:19. In II Peter 2:1 the Apostle says that in the last days there will be false teachers.

Those teaching Bible prophecy with a new paradigm are actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The crisis continues with the pro-Egyptian military forces and the pro-Mohammed Morsi forces in a standoff in Cairo

Pro-military forces and pro-Morsi forces are at a standoff in Cairo, Egypt. Moment by moment, things are changing in that part of the world. Supporters of the ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi have defied threats of removal from their sit-in protest there at the mosque. They continue their protest there in Cairo even in light of the dozens of Muslim Brotherhood supporters who have died in a clash with the Egyptian security forces.

World leaders have reacted to the deaths of the Morsi supporters, the Muslim Brotherhood, and the reports are out of Cairo that these deaths come from the military using live fire to disperse the Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators. The Muslim Brotherhood vows to go to civil war if the former president Mohammed Morsi is not reinstated as president of Egypt.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The crisis situation in Cairo, Egypt is setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

As the pro-Egyptian military forces stand face to face with the pro-Mohammed Morsi supporters, the Muslim Brotherhood, there is a crisis that is developing that could become very explosive and there could be a civil war in this the largest of the Arab countries in the world.

Bible prophecy speaks of how Egypt will be a major player in the end times. When you go to Daniel 11:40-43, you see that the King of the North would be talking about Syria in the North of Israel and the King of the South would be Egypt at Israel's southern border. These two nations will make the first move in an alignment of nations to try to wipe out the Jewish state of Israel. You must continue to remember an alignment of nations will come together to try to wipe Israel off the face of the earth. This will happen in the Tribulation Period after the Rapture of the Church.

In essence, it happens in the first six months of the Tribulation Period when Ezekiel 38, Psalm 83, and Daniel 11:40-43 will come into play. Now, this is important for you to understand as we continue to watch what is happening: the civil war there at the northern border with Israel in the nation of Syria and how the Islamic Jihadists are coming into that part of the world and at the same time at Israel's southern border with this crisis going on in Egypt and the desire by the Muslim Brotherhood to reinstate their leader as president of Egypt, thus there may ensue a civil war between these two factions which is a part of that end times scenario found in Bible prophecy.

With what is going on in Cairo, Egypt today it indeed does seem like the stage is being set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Pope Francis has used his leadership role to change the Roman Catholic church

In his leadership role as Pope of the billion plus Catholic worshipers, Pope Francis now leads this 2,000-year-old church into the future differently than any previous Pope due to the fact that he is a Jesuit. The world continues to watch Pope Francis implement his style of leadership with a mission to expand the outreach of Catholicism and to enlarge the total number of the Catholic worshipers to the worldwide church.

Since the Jesuits are the militant arm of the Catholic church with a desire to see the world convert, only time will tell how successful Pope Francis will be with his mission as leader of the church.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The leadership of Pope Francis will set the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Pope Francis, the first Jesuit to ever lead the Catholic church as Pope, brings to his leadership role a desire to convert all the world to Catholicism. The Jesuits, founded in 1540 AD were brought together as a counter reformation movement. They want to turn back the reformation of Luther and Knox and bring all non-Catholics back into the fold. They have an eschatology that believes that all the world will one day be of the Catholic church and then Jesus Christ will come back to rule this worldwide kingdom that they have set up.

True biblical eschatology, which is a study of the end times, states that the false church that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy the seven mountain city will indeed come to power in the first half of the coming Tribulation Period, Revelation 17. This ecclesiastical Babylon will be led by the Antichrist who is referred to as the Beast some eight times in Revelation 17. Revelation 17:16 reveals that the world leaders, the revived Roman Empire, will rise up and destroy the false church and give their power worldwide dominion to the Antichrist, Revelation 17:17 which indicates that the Lord Himself will put into the hearts and minds of these world leaders to accomplish His will. This will then open the opportunity for the Antichrist to rule a worldwide economic Babylon yet in the future

What is Armageddon?

Our nation is no stranger to war. You or someone you know may have served in one of the many wars and conflicts the United States has been involved in since our founding — a result of the Revolutionary War.

Countless numbers have suffered injuries, been declared missing, or died in these fights. But those wars will look like a child's GI Joe battle compared to the war that is coming … the war the Bible callsArmageddon, or "Mount of Slaughter" (Revelation 16:16).

Where will the war take place?
Though it will be fought throughout the entire land of Israel, the battle will be centralized on the plains of Megiddo, a locale with a long history of bloodshed. The Bible describes several wars fought by Israel at Megiddo, and the history books tell of many others — from the Greeks to the Crusaders to World War I.

Why here?
Napoleon, one of the world's greatest military figures, said it best as he surveyed the grounds of Megiddo before a battle: "All the armies of the world could maneuver their forces on this vast plain …There is no place in the whole world more suited for war than this."

How does this fit into God's "big picture"?
  1. Judgment upon Israel. This battle will reflect God's divine indignation with His chosen people, who have rejected their Messiah and (time and again) have failed to heed God's correction. It will be "the time of Jacob's trouble" (Jeremiah 30:7).
  2. Judgment upon the nations that persecuted Israel. Nations who have persecuted Israel will all be gathered together at this battle, giving God the perfect opportunity to deal with them once and for all (Joel 3:2).
  3. Judgment on the nations that rejected God. This is the time when the Lord will unleash the judgment He has been storing up against the world's wicked nations, the ones who dismissed Him in pursuit of ungodly goals (Revelation 19:15).
And preparations for this war are underway right now throughout the world. The chess pieces of this final battle are quickly moving into position … It won't be long.

But you and I can take comfort in this: the Rapture must take place first.

The great evacuation of believers will take followers of Christ safely to heaven with Him. The judgment of Armageddon is not meant for us, but for those who have rejected the Lord and persecuted His people Israel.

The Neo-Nazi Movement in Europe is growing and they could become terrorist organizations

German police have moved against Neo-Nazi groups in not only Germany but across Europe as well to stop them from becoming terrorist organizations. Dr. Rob Congdon has a report on this very frightening development.

Dr. Rob Congdon:  They have spearheaded a group that has raided premises in Germany, Switzerland and Netherlands, so yes it's certainly beyond just Germany. There has been concern growing and more and more awareness of these Neo-Nazi groups that may become true terrorists to Europe. It's much more far reaching than the size of the groups that exist today because we have to remember Europe still has a large population of their young people who are unemployed, who are restless, who are getting disillusioned that the EU is going to solve their problems. Those are the very types of people that this far right group appeals to.

So, while today's steps certainly will counter and minimize the effect of these Neo-Nazi groups, the potential is there for them to mobilize larger groups and you're right that's going to directly effect not only the German government but the Jewish people in Europe will start facing the things or fearing the things that happened so long ago, every time that word Nazi comes up it brings back terrible memories. It is a danger, the government has reacted, we just have to see now if they can keep this under control.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Neo-Nazi groups in Europe are growing and at the point of becoming terrorist organizations which is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Seventy years ago, the Nazi's under the leadership of Adolf Hitler tried to eliminate all Jews from Europe and in fact around the world with the Holocaust. This dastardly activity is resurfacing and could lead to a second Holocaust. That is the scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah wrote 2500 years ago that there would be a second Holocaust with two out of every three Jews being killed, that would be twice the number of Jews killed during the WWII Holocaust, Zechariah 13:8. The second Holocaust will take place during the seven year Tribulation Period, the Time of Jacob's Trouble, Jeremiah 30:7.

With Neo-Nazis in Europe growing and moving to the point where they will become terrorists, the scenario is set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

'The Hal Lindsey Report'

It's as if we're standing on the seashore and watching the waves of "political correctness" lapping at our feet. Sometimes they almost reach us, then recede. Sometimes they wash over our toes. Occasionally, they splash at our ankles. It's annoying, but not enough to make us return to higher ground. I fear, though, that if we only raise our eyes to the horizon, we may be surprised to see an ominous sight - a tidal wave gathering force as it rushes toward us on the shore.

We are only now beginning to feel the effects of this evil we call political correctness or PC. But I believe we will soon experience its full weight and power. Already, in Europe, pastors have been prosecuted for simply preaching the gospel because it does not agree with what the society deems "acceptable" thought.

The question I believe God is asking us today is "How will you respond when the time comes to defy the prevailing norms of society and defend the claims of Jesus Christ - that He is the only way to salvation?" Consider this. If you will not speak out to defend your right to proclaim the truth of the Gospel now when all you risk is a little embarrassment, ridicule, public humiliation or ostracism - then how will you find the courage to defend the Gospel of Jesus when you risk arrest, criminal prosecution, and bodily harm? And those days are coming to America soon. The Bible predicts it.

Well, I can answer that question for many of you. You won't!

Then you will have to come to grips with this warning of Jesus, "Therefore everyone who confesses Me before men, I will also confess him before My Father who is in Heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 10:32-33, NASB)

I've said before that I think the occasion for the persecution of the church and individual Christians will come as a result of political correctness. I believe, too, that the justification for the prosecution of the church and individual Christians will be provided by our failure to follow the dictates of political correctness.

You see, the ultimate goal of political correctness, which I believe is one of Satan's most ingenious and diabolical weapons, is the complete elimination of "exclusivity" from our societies and cultures. Steve Tobak of Fox Business described it this way: "It's collectivism, which destroys individualism. Competition is bad. Everyone is a winner. Everyone has to be included and treated the same. Singling out individuals as special or unique excludes others, so that's out.... Everything has to be filtered to ensure no one is offended or gets into trouble."

As a result, the one thing practitioners and propagandists of political correctness absolutely hate is the idea that there is only one way to do something. Only one way to act. Only one way to think. Only one way to reach heaven. Aha!

That's why the PCers hate Christianity so much. Christianity teaches that there is only one way to reach heaven -- by accepting the free gift of pardon provided by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross. Jesus Christ alone.

And that is absolutely, diametrically opposite to the contention of the PC crowd. The time is coming when these two great forces -- Christianity and anti-Christianity ("political correctness") -- will meet head-on. I can guess that the results won't be pretty.

On this week's program, I'm going to examine this exploding scourge that I call "The PC Contagion" and show how it is affecting every element of our society. Alarmingly, it seems to be taking hold faster and more dramatically in our armed forces.

I'll also discuss how our evolution into a "sound bite culture" has laid the groundwork for this modern plague.

Now is the time to begin seriously preparing yourself, spiritually and emotionally, for the dark days that lie ahead. Those days have already reached many of our brothers and sisters in Christ across the world. I believe that we American Christians have been given some reprieve because of the faith and foresight of our Founding Fathers. I think God has honored their faith and blessed our nation, but I also believe we've squandered that blessing and our day in the sun is drawing to a close.

Jonathan Cahn: God Is Warning America

Has God used tragedy and economic collapse to warn America? To incite the nation to turn back to Him?
Jonathan Cahn is author of The Harbinger: The Ancient Mystery That Holds the Secret of America’s Future. The book discusses God’s warnings to Israel before the nation’s judgment and downfall, and how the same signs of destruction have manifested in the United States in the past decade.
“Before God judges a nation, He sends warning,” Cahn has said. “But America, like Israel, has not responded with repentance but with defiance.”
Cahn grew up a Reform Jew, became an atheist, then surrendered his life to Christ at 20 years old. A Messianic Jew, he serves as senior pastor and rabbi of the Beth Israel Worship Center in Wayne, N.J., and leads Hope of the World Ministries, an evangelistic outreach.
In The Harbinger, Cahn picks apart Isaiah 9:10, where Israel determines to rebuild its devastated country by its own means, defying God. God had repeatedly warned the people of impending danger if they didn’t acknowledge Him, and they paid the price for failing to listen.
America, in a more modern way, is receiving the same warnings, Cahn argues, and points out the declaration by some public figures that the country will come back stronger than ever—the same idea expressed in Isaiah 9:10.
Some Christian critics have questioned whether God would send the same kind of warning signs again or whether the Bible really alludes to America. Some differ on when the parallel prophecies began. But virtually all have agreed on Cahn’s bottom line: America is in trouble if its people continue ignoring God.
The Harbinger became a New York Times best-seller the first week of its release in early 2012 and has been circulated on Capitol Hill. The documentary version, called The Isaiah 9:10 Judgment, continues to be a best-selling faith film in America.
Yet with all the talk of impending judgment on America, Cahn leaves room for hope. Some people ask him if there will be judgment or revival.
“It can be both,” he says, adding, “If there was no hope, there would be no warning.”
It would “take a miracle” for revival, Cahn says, but “God’s got heart, and He’s into miracles.”
Cahn cites 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
“It’s got to begin with us … with repentance,” Cahn says. “As we watch the culture getting darker, we have to not be afraid. We have to not shrink back. We have to shine brighter.”
If Christians were the “light” they are supposed to be, he says, America might not be this dark.
So what can we do?
“Being bold to spread the gospel is crucial. Crucial,” Cahn says—even when others try to silence it.
Cahn warns Christians not to be lukewarm. He emphasizes the power of prayer and urges believers to speak up and take action on issues that affect the moral fiber of the nation. A nationwide outreach called My Hope America With Billy Graham, he says, is one way to communicate hope in Christ and potentially change people’s lives.
“God is real. He is over everything. He is calling. … We need, as believers, to take His calling … seriously,” Cahn says. “The time is now. Not tomorrow. The time is now.”
Cahn will be at the Billy Graham Library from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 20, for a book signing.

Jews around the world are praying for a Temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem within the next year

Today is Tish B' Av, the ninth day of the Jewish month of Av, the date in history when both the first and second temples were destroyed. Rabbi Yoel Keren in Jerusalem tells us that the Jews mourn over these destructions but also are praying for a Temple to be rebuilt by next year at this time.

Rabbi Yoel Keren: Well that is really the question now. The question is why are we doing this? Has the mourning and the sitting on the floor and the reading Lamentations, has it become a goal in and of itself or are we doing it for a reason, are we doing it to motivate ourselves to get back and find the will of God and seek His will, and seek to be with Him and to do what He wants of us or has we just become used to the mourning and that in itself is the goal? That is the question.

That is what we are trying to get people to realize. The Temple Institute just put out a new video that is a feed of all the people sitting on the floor in the synagogue on the ninth of Av, they are all mourning and the rabbi is up there, he is crying and the children are in a room to the side and one boy stands up and points at a picture of the Temple and starts to talk to the other children and the kids all have these toy tool belts,  they all strap on these tool belts and they all walk out and pull their fathers up off the floor and say come let's go build it! That is the question the Jewish people are beginning to ask themselves. God willing they will come to the right conclusion soon.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As the Jews pray for the next Temple to be rebuilt in Jerusalem, they have already prepared everything for construction to begin on that Temple.

For over 25 years, men who claim to be Jewish priests who will be able to operate the Temple have been studying to do the duties of the next Temple. They have prepared all the implements, they have a red heifer, they know exactly where the Ark of the Covenant is, they are ready to rebuild the Temple as Bible prophecy calls for them to do in Daniel 9:27, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1,2. These passages of Scripture tell us that there will indeed be a Temple on the Temple Mount in the Tribulation Period, that seven years of judgment yet to come which begins right after the Rapture of the Church.

With everything ready to build the next Temple on the Temple mount in Jerusalem, indeed Bible prophecy is ready to be fulfilled.

As we look at geopolitical events unfolding in our world today there is evidence that this world is ready for something spectacular to happen

In our wold today, we see events happening that seem to be somewhat of a stage setter for something catastrophic or spectacular to happen, something that could happen which would indeed change the entire earth's future.

In the Middle East, Egypt is involved in one crisis after another. The civil war in Syria brings more death to Syrians on a daily basis and the Jewish state of Israel is under a political attack especially from the Palestinians.

If you take a look to the far East, the prospects that China and India with a total of one-third of the earth's population and both of these nations increasing daily in population, wealth, and military preparedness, they both are becoming somewhat of a superpower in our world today.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Geopolitical activities and current events in our world today are setting the stage for what some call a catastrophic event to happen but is in reality only a part of the end of times scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy.

If you are a watcher of geopolitical activities and current events and at the same time familiar with Bible prophecy, you will be able to recognize that our world is on the fast track to the scenario that is found in the pages of Bible prophecy. As a student of Bible prophecy and what I call a news junkie, I do recognize that this world is very close to the last days scenario that is found in the pages of Bible prophecy. The far East is quickly putting in place their economic and military preparedness in order to become nations that would be included in the superpowers of this world.

This was actually foretold by John the Revelator when he wrote about the impact of the Kings of the East in Revelation 16:12. Europe and the EU with all of their economic struggles are working to put in place an economic structure that is described in Bible prophecy, Daniel 7:23-24 and Revelation 18.

In the Middle East with the radicalism prevalent in both Syria and Egypt to the North and to the South of the Jewish state of Israel, one can understand better the pre-written history written by Daniel the prophet in Daniel 11:40-43 and see how this world will indeed see catastrophic, spectacular events in the near future.

Why Are Christians Upset about the Ruling In California?

I want to do my best as a Christian and as an American citizen to explain why people in the Christian community are upset with the Supreme Court decisions on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and Proposition 8 in California. I want to hopefully answer some questions for people who don’t understand our position on the Word of God as believers.
Here is what happened. The portion of the DOMA that has been ruled unconstitutional is a provision that denies benefits to legally-married, same-gender couples. Same-gender couples, under federal law, will now be considered “married”.
Regarding Proposition 8, the Supreme Court threw out the appeal—meaning they refused to hear the case—thereby telling the voters in the state of California that their votes do not matter. Same-gender marriages will now go forward in the state of California, regardless of what the voters wanted. This will now open the door for same-gender marriage in all states. I have several things to say about this, so here we go.
What’s the big deal, you ask? Let me answer that first as a Bible-believing Christian. DOMA legislation was passed to define marriage as existing only between one man and one woman. That is a view that has been held in American since its conception, and this is a Biblically accurate definition of marriage. This is God’s definition for marriage. He gave us that definition and He did so for our own benefit.
We are upset because this nation—despite what you hear from liberals who have hijacked America’s history—was founded by men who believed in God and held fast to the principles laid out in scripture. In George Washington’s Inaugural Address as the first U.S. President, he declared that God was involved in the formation of this country; and if we walked by God’s principles, His blessing would remain upon us.
We believe that America will rise or fall based upon our obedience to God and His Word, because we are a nation that made a covenant with God in the very beginning. We know that everyone has different opinions about the way in which things should be done in this nation. But if you are going to call yourself a Christian, you must stand for truth when America begins to legalize whatever God calls an abomination.
Our objective is not to hate people who disagree with us, or judge people and point a finger at them. Our motivation for standing on truth and purity is to please God, to have His blessing and favor rest upon our nation, and most importantly, to point lost souls to the truth so that they might spend eternity with Jesus, who is Truth.
As an American, I believe everyone has rights and that we are a free people. We are free to be godly or free to be non-religious. Free to be a Christian or free to be a Hindu. Free to pray whenever and wherever we want, or free to not pray at all. Free to be straight or free to be gay. Everyone has rights, and even God Himself gives us free will. My personal opinion, which is shared by at least half of America, is that the government needs to stay out of our lives, marriages, finances, and personal property. The government should be here to protect our rights and freedoms; not to take them away and order us to do things that are contrary to our beliefs or harmful to us as a nation. Our government is in a place to make sure people and their rights are protected.
However, as a Christian, I understand that we established our nation upon Biblical principles. Our laws were created and enforced based on God’s Word. We had a covenant with God, and once we break that covenant, judgment is inevitable.
What is judgment? It is simply God lifting His hand of protective covering over this nation, which leaves us open to attacks of the adversary. As long as we remain in God’s covenant, we are promised protection and national security. Yes, we live in a fallen world and people have free will to do evil things, which means that bad things can happen in a nation because of bad people. Nevertheless, overall the nation that remains under covenant would be protected, and we would enjoy the blessings of God.
We all know that the Word of God warns us that these things will happen in the last days. We are told that things will be as they were in the days of Noah and Lot. Both men warned people of what was coming and nobody believed them. I don’t expect everyone to agree with what I believe, but I hope to help you understand why the Christian community is upset. We know that God’s will is better for us than our own ideas and agendas. We want this nation to experience the peace and joy that only God can give. We have lived under God’s touch and blessing, and we want the entire world to have that same experience.
Why are we upset with the President? There was a day when we had Presidents who believed the Word of God. They might not have always lived a holy life as a Christian should, but they knew right from wrong. If you read the Word of God, you know that abortion, homosexuality, and idolatry are called abominations in the eyes of God. Even though the President has claimed to be a Christian, he seems to not know that he is celebrating the legalization of abominations according to the Bible, which we Christians know as the Word of God. Here is his statement regarding the results of the court decision:
I applaud the Supreme Court’s decision to strike down the Defense of Marriage Act…So we welcome today’s decision, and I’ve directed the Attorney General to work with other members of my cabinet to review all relevant federal statutes to ensure this decision, including its implications for Federal benefits and obligations, is implemented swiftly and smoothly.” (partial statement only)
Mr. President, if you are going to call yourself a Christian, then it is important to live according to what God says is right and wrong. This is why people don’t know what to believe anymore. They see us claim the name, yet they hear us agreeing with sins that God abhors. Leaders are supposed to live what they claim to believe.
As an American, I am disgusted with the amount of effort the President is exerting to show his support to the gay community. When a true American Navy Seal like Chris Kyle dies in a despicable act of violence, the widow never gets a letter, phone call, or anything else from the country’s leader. But here we have people crying out for more government benefits, yet a man who risked his life to secure our freedom to even make a decision like we witnessed is ignored as though he were nobody. I believe our priorities are mixed up, when a war hero doesn’t get acknowledged, but another person receives special treatment, just because they want to marry someone of the same gender and receive benefits.
As a Christian, I must stand for the Bible. As an American, I must stand for freedom. One must outshine the other, and so I will conclude with this statement. If we forsake our Christian values, we will no longer have an America where we can be called an American. We must stand for freedom, but freedom only comes from truth.
“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
We are Christians first!

The Intelligence Community says the US will be out as the sole superpower by 2030

The Intelligence Community has issued a report which projects that the US will no longer be the world's only superpower by 2030 and Asia will surpass North America and Europe combined with Asian population, military spending, and technological investment.

This report comes from the office of the Director of National Intelligence which states that the unipolar world that emerged after the fall of the Soviet Union will not continue.

Global trends project that the US will retain a role in the world in part because of its history and past leadership but nations like China, India, and Brazil are the rising world powers.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With countries like China, India, and Brazil on the rise in our world today, the US will soon be reduced economically and militarily no longer to be the only superpower in our world which is a scenario that can be found in Bible prophecy for the last days.

Many political pundits and world thinkers have said that the economic crisis which the US faces will play a key role in knocking the US out of superpower status. Militarily, China is quickly becoming an equal to the US and there are projections that China will overtake the US in military power in the near future. Students of Bible prophecy have for some years known that the US is not in Bible prophecy as a player in the last days. One suggestion is that at the Rapture of the Church, the US will be rendered weak since the backbone of America is the born again Christian who will leave at the Rapture, I Thessalonians 4:13-18.

Both China and India are included in the prophetic phrase, "Kings of the East" found in Revelation 16:12 and they will be key players at the end of the seven year Tribulation Period. Other nations in the Middle East will form a coalition of nations that align themselves to try to destroy the Jewish state of Israel at the beginning of the Tribulation, Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83. Between the Rapture which happens just before the Tribulation Period and the return of Jesus Christ at the end of that terrible time of trouble, much judgment will come upon the world including the nations already mentioned in this report as well as the US.

Hal Lindsey Report.... Founding Fathers and God

Our nation exists today because her founders recognized their dependence on God and acknowledged it in the foundation and framework of this magnificent house we call the United States of America. We dismiss that recognition at our peril.

The United States of America is the world's only superpower. Its economy is the engine that drives the world. Even in our difficult times, it is still the cornerstone on which the global economy rests.

Twice in one century, the United States saved Europe, and the rest of the world, from the domination of tyrants. Later, America drove the Soviet Empire into the ground and, in so doing, secured freedom for untold millions of citizens and scores of nations.

It is undeniable that, to this day, America remains the last, best hope of the world's oppressed.

Yet the United States of America exists in the shadow of an uncertainty. Have you ever thought about the fact that even our National Anthem acknowledges that it is possible to forfeit or lose the magnificent heritage that is the United States of America? When Francis Scott Key penned the words to The Star Spangled Banner, he ended the first verse (which is the one customarily performed as our nation's official anthem) with a question: "O' say does that star spangled banner yet wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?"

Whether he was being prophetic or simply poetic is not important. His inclusion of that question rightly implies that America's great freedom and promise cannot be taken for granted. It came into existence through the great courage and sacrifice of our forebears. It can fade from existence through the antipathy and apathy of its current and future citizens.

That's why so many of our Founding Fathers found it imperative to insist that the form of government they established can only prosper if the citizenry is predominantly Judeo-Christian. They minced no words when they proclaimed that our democracy can only succeed if it remains founded on the principles of Christianity and respectful of its Judeo-Christian roots.

Yet, today as no time in our history, those very roots and principles are under ferocious attack. It's as if major players in our society have hoisted their axes, determined to chop away at the roots of our democracy until the magnificent tree of American freedom shivers and falls.

That's why there is no time to lose. As Christians and patriots, we must seek God's mercy for our faltering nation. The forces of darkness have succeeded in marshaling their greatest assault yet. And the speed with which recent changes have weakened the basic foundations of our society is nothing compared to what we may see in the coming years. If we are to see our nation saved, we must earnestly call out to God, repent of our sins as a nation, and humble ourselves before Him.

As we languish in the summer doldrums, pray earnestly everyday for our beloved nation. Pray that truth will be revealed. Pray that blinders will be removed. Pray that God will exalt Himself through the testimony of His people. And pray that He will watch over and protect this "shining city on a hill" that truly owes its success and glory to His precepts.
