As world leaders work for peace in the Middle East the current peace agreements are unraveling

World leaders in America, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East are working to bring about a peace in the Middle East even as three peace agreements between Israel and their neighbors are actually unraveling and may not be in effect for very long.

The Camp David Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt, is almost a thing of the past with the present situation in Egypt as is the case with the peace treaty between Israel and Jordan with most Jordanians wanting to dissolve that treaty.

The Oslo Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, has never been normalized and is not a working agreement because the radical Islamists among the Palestinians have no regard for the treaty and in fact are calling for an armed struggle to eliminate the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With three different peace agreements between Israel and her neighbors in place the Middle East peace process is in bad shape but it will be rescued according to Bible prophecy.

In 1979, Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accords, the first peace treaty that Israel ever signed with an enemy state. The Palestinians and the Israelis also came to an agreement on peace in 1993 with the Oslo Accords. In October of 1994, the late King Hussein of Jordan and the late Yitzhak Rabin prime minister of Israel, both signed a peace treaty between the two nations. What is common with all of these peace agreements is that they never have been normalized. Even the peace envoy for the Quartet, which is the US, EU, UN, and Russia, Tony Blair has not been successful in bringing about peace. However, I must remind you that Bible prophecy does call for a world leader to come on the scene who will be successful in putting a peace treaty in place that he will make work.

Daniel 9:27 says that the Antichrist will confirm a treaty between Israel and her neighbors. I did not say he will sign a treaty, but instead confirm, strengthen, make stronger, make the treaty work. In order for this to happen, there must be a peace treaty or three peace treaties on the table not working. The Antichrist will confirm them.

There are three peace treaties on the table not working, waiting for the Antichrist, a world leader, to appear.

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'

This weekend, Jews around the world celebrate the Feast of Purim. I find it ironic that the greatest current threat to the Jews smolders in the same nation that originally gave us the inspiring story of Queen Esther -- Persia or modern Iran.

Please pray as never before that God will protect His own, both in Israel and in Iran itself.

You can't miss it. The signs are everywhere. Interest in the future is growing... Nostradamus, the Mayan calendar, St. Malachy, Edgar Cayce. People everywhere sense that something is about to happen. They're nervous and they're searching for answers.

In the last part of the 20th century and into the 21st, it seems an entire industry sprang up to publish the "amazing" prophecies of Nostradamus. Amazing? At best, his quatrains are so nebulous that they can be interpreted myriad ways. Just the law of averages proves him "right" occasionally!

With the recent resignation of Pope Benedict XVI, the world is also waiting to see if St. Malachy's extra-Biblical prophecy concerning the end of the succession of Popes will soon come to pass.

But if you want to talk about truly "amazing" prophecies, you have to talk about the predictions of the ancient Bible prophet Ezekiel. And unlike Nostradamus and the others, he wasn't afraid to name names! Ezekiel's prophecies pinpoint an exact time, place, and the precise historical conditions of a future world catastrophe. He names the peoples and nations involved in an intricate convergence of history. Out of a spectacular chain of eleven specific prophecies, we have witnessed ten come to exact fruition. And we see the eleventh taking unmistakable shape today. What's more, Ezekiel predicted all of these things more than 2,600 years ago!

If you haven't been quite convinced that we're barreling into the last laps of the race to Armageddon, you will be after I show you the stunning implications of "Ezekiel's Prophetic Enigma."

Don't miss this week's Report here Sunday.
God Bless,

Hal Lindsey

Jews in Jerusalem and around the world celebrate God's protection from one Persian ruler as they face a threat from another

Jews around the world celebrate Purim, the record of God's protection from total destruction by a Persian leader named Haman. This took place 2500 years ago and at the same time, the Jewish state of Israel prepares for an attack from another Persian ruler, the modern day Haman, named Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran. The book of Esther, in the Bible, gives the account of how wicked Haman wanted to eliminate all Jews from the face of the earth and how the Jewish Queen Esther had come into the Persian kingdom at the right time and was instrumental in saving her people from total destruction.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad is today leader of the nation known as Persia until 1936 and this modern day Haman has on numerous occasions called for the total destruction of the Jewish people a replay of history.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

According to Bible prophecy, the Iranian President Ahmadinejad, a modern day Haman who was the wicked political leader of Persia 2500 years ago, Ahmadinejad will also fail to destroy all of the Jewish people in our world today.

The wicked Persian leader Haman 2500 years ago was set to kill all the Jewish people alive in his day and would have done so had not God used a Jewish queen - Queen Esther - to save her people. The account of this intervention by God to protect his chosen people, the Jewish people, can be found in the Biblical book of Esther. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu has compared the present Iranian President Ahmadinejad to Biblical Haman, as Ahmadinejad has continually called for the Jews to be wiped off the earth and their name be forgotten forever.

As one reads the book of Esther you can see the hand of God protecting His people, the Jewish people, from total destruction. According to Bible prophecy, once again the Lord will protect the Jews from total destruction by a Persian leader. Remember, modern day Iran was known as Persia until 1936. Persia, or Iran today, is mentioned in Ezekiel 38:5 as one of the nations that will align with other enemies of Israel and endeavor to destroy the Jewish people in the last days. At that time the Lord will again intervene to protect the Jews and destroy the Persians and their leader whoever it may be.

As Jews celebrate the holy day of Purim, remember Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

An Israeli political leader calls for an end to Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount

Aryeh Eldad, a member of the Israeli Knesset, has called for the end of Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount which Eldad says dates back 1300 years ago to the time when a Muslim named Omar built the Dome of the Rock over the location of the first and second temples on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

As more and more religious Jews visit the Temple Mount there is a growing demand for the removal of all restrictions imposed by the Muslims and the Jewish people want a freedom to worship on this very sacred location.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call by an Israeli official for an end to the Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem is a page out of Bible prophecy for the end of times.

Recent incidents on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem have brought about calls by the religious Jewish community for an end to the Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount. Orthodox Jews are forbidden to carry their Bibles onto the Temple Mount and they are restricted from offering any prayers on this holy site. In 691 AD, a Muslim named Omar built what is known as the Dome of the Rock over the location of the two previous Jewish temples. Now, a member of the Israeli Knesset has called for an end to the Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount. Aryeh Eldad, a member of the Israeli Knesset, does not want Muslims removed from the Temple Mount but instead wants total access and freedom of worship on the Temple Mount for the Jewish people.

Bible prophecy reveals what will happen in the future, the Jews will build a temple on the Temple Mount, Daniel 9:7, Matthew 24:15, II Thessalonians 2:4, and Revelation 11:1-2. By the way, that temple will be the Tribulation Temple which will be destroyed at the time of the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ who will build His eternal temple on the Temple Mount where He will rule and reign forever, Zechariah 6:12-13. The prophet Zechariah also foretold of a time when Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in particular will be at the center of controversy, Zechariah 12:2-3.

A Jewish official calling for the end of the Muslim occupation of the Temple Mount is indeed setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The evil we face by Michael Freund The Jerusalem Post February 12, 2013 http://www.michaelfreund.org/12937/the-evil-we-face

Even though Israel's new coalition government has yet to be formed, international pressure is already starting to mount on the Jewish state to make concessions to the Palestinians.
At a press conference last week with US Vice President Joe Biden, French President Francois Hollande went out of his way to stress that Europe will take steps to get Israel and the Palestinians back to the negotiating table.
"Now that the elections in Israel are behind us," Hollande told reporters, "we shall make sure that both the United States and Europe can support the revival of negotiations that can lead to a two-state solution."
Meanwhile, both US President Barack Obama and newly-appointed Secretary of State John Kerry are each reportedly planning to visit the region next month in what will surely be more than just courtesy calls. Obama and Kerry will undoubtedly be expecting Israel to make various "gestures" to the Palestinians as a sign of "good faith" in order to get the talks going again.
And so, Israel will soon find itself confronting a renewed wave of insistence that it prove its commitment to peace by giving in to various Palestinian demands.
What the international community, and even our allies, have clearly lost sight of is the very nature of the struggle in which Israel finds itself, one that pits us against a foe that is bent on our destruction.
Despite 20 years of Israeli concessions since the 1993 Oslo accords, the Palestinians have utterly refused to forsake violence and intimidation, nor have they shown a willingness to make even minimal compromises in order to forge a final agreement.
Put simply, this is not a battle over borders, but a clash of civilizations. It is an epic collision between good and evil, truth and falsehood, right and wrong.
Indeed, this week provides a stark and painful reminder of just what type of foe Israel is up against.
This coming Friday night marks the second anniversary on the Hebrew calendar of one of the most brutal Palestinian terror attacks in the region's history. It was on the 6th of Adar two years ago that Amjad Awad and Hakim Awad, from the village of Awarta, stormed the nearby Jewish community of Itamar and proceeded to slaughter five members of the Fogel family in their home on the Sabbath.
With chilling cruelty, the two perpetrators went from room to room, mercilessly slashing the throats of Ruth and Udi Fogel and three of their children: Yoav (11), Elad (4) and three-month-old Hadas.
Subsequently, after their capture, the two terrorists expressed no remorse for their actions, saying that had they known that two other children had been sleeping in the Fogel home at the time, they would have murdered them as well.
Many Palestinians reacted with sheer joy to news of the massacre, handing out sweets in the streets of Rafah to passersby as though their team had just won the World Cup. And a poll taken shortly afterwards found that a whopping 32 percent of Palestinians said they supported this despicable act of murder.
The slaughter in Itamar, like the myriad bus bombings, rocket attacks and kidnapping of soldiers throughout the years, should serve as obvious reminders of the degeneracy of our foes. It says a lot about Palestinian society, and especially its leadership, that it countenanced such behavior and continues to laud the perpetrators of such terror as heroes.
Clearly, these are not people with whom a lasting agreement can be forged, however much we or the international community might wish to believe otherwise.
It is therefore time to drop the delusion that has underpinned the peace process all these years and admit the obvious: the Palestinians do not truly wish to live in peace with Israel. They have had ample opportunity to do so, but have rejected every offer, even the most generous, with nary a bit of compunction or regret.
So when European or American leaders now push yet again for a two-state solution and denounce Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria as "illegitimate," they are merely adding fuel to the fire.
After all, if Jewish settlers are repeatedly labeled as "occupiers," doesn't that simply provide justification for those who wish to attack them?
What the world fails to grasp is that the key to peace lies not in removing Jews from their homes, but rather in uprooting delusions of possible victory from the hearts of Palestinians. As long as they continue to think that the Jewish presence in the Middle East is temporary and that time and international backing is on their side, our foes will press forward with their aggressive intentions, employing violence and terror to achieve their goals.
This type of malevolence cannot be negotiated with, nor can reason prevail over it. Confronted by such enmity, Israel does not dare to empower it still further by yielding to its demands. The evil we face must be opposed, not appeased.
If only the world would at last open its eyes and see.

The highest ranking Moslem cleric in Saudi Arabia is calling for all churches to be destroyed

The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheik Abdul Abdullah, says that it is necessary to destroy all churches in the Middle East, and he based his declaration on the Islamic holy book, the Hadith, which quotes Mohammad as saying on his death bed, that only Islam can be practiced in the Middle East.  The Mufti asserted that all law in the Middle East must conform to Sharia, the law of the Koran as revealed by Allah, the Islamic god.

This declaration by the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia comes on the heels of a Wall Street Journal article written by the Israeli ambassador to the United Nations which stated that Arab discrimination against Christian minorities is a prevalent phenomenon throughout the Arab world.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A declaration by the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia that Christian churches in the Middle East must be destroyed is a page out of Bible prophecy.

Over the last several years there have been many reports of Christian churches being destroyed and church attenders being killed by radical Islamists.  This phenomenon has been on the increase in recent days and the declaration from the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia that all Christian churches in the Middle East must be destroyed, will only add to the urgency of this destruction by Moslem radicals.

Across the Arab world, more and more Christians and their churches and leaders, are the focus of a fast growing element in our world today who say only the Islamic religion is the one that all of human kind must be a part of in this time in history.  This scenario unfolding today was actually written about in a yesterday over 2000 years ago.  John, the human writer of the book of Revelation, wrote of the slaughter of believers in Jesus Christ in a number of locations in the book of Revelation.  Revelation 6:9-11 foretells of a time when those who stand for the Word of God, the Bible, and who have a testimony that Jesus Christ is their Savior, these believers will be killed.  Revelation 20:4 says that they will be beheaded for their faith.  These Biblical prophecies are referring to the time of Tribulation, that seven year period of judgment on the earth following the Rapture and before the Second Coming of Christ.

The Grand Mufti's call for all Christian churches in the Middle East to be destroyed is indeed a lead up to Bible prophecy being fulfilled.

The Palestinians are calling for unity in order to be able to destroy the state of Israel

A minister of the Palestinian Authority, the ruling body for the Palestinian people, says that the two factions of the Palestinian people, Fatah and Hamas, must unite in order to achieve the destruction of the state of Israel.  This report from an official Palestinian Authority newspaper revealed a number of Palestinian Authority ministers who agreed with the call for Palestinian unity in their struggle against Israel.

Both Fatah and Hamas, the two factions of the Palestinian body politic, have been involved in the armed struggle to remove the Jewish state from the land that Palestinians claim as their state and now the radical rhetoric is calling for Palestinian unity in order to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call by the official of the Palestinian Authority for the Palestinian people to unite in order to destroy the Jewish state of Israel is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

In a large Palestinian rally attended by female Palestinian prisoners recently released from Israeli jails, an official of the Palestinian Authority called for the reunification of the Palestinian people.  The Palestinian Authority minister said that the Palestinians must unite in order to achieve their goal of the destruction of the Jewish state of Israel and the establishment of a Palestinian state on all the land that today belongs to the Jewish people.

This Palestinian plan fits exactly with the prophetic passages found in the Bible that reveals what will happen in the last days between Israel and the Palestinians.  Malachi wrote that the Edomites, the Palestinian people of today, would return to Israel and set up borders - borders which the Lord said will be borders of wickedness (Malachi 1).  Ezekiel foretold of a time when the Palestinians would kill the Jewish people and then take their land (Ezekiel 35).  The little prophetic book of Obadiah says that the Palestinians will become intoxicated with power as they take the steps to rid the land now known as Israel of the Jewish people, but these Palestinians themselves will be destroyed (Obadiah 15-18).

Calls for the Palestinians to unite in order to be able to destroy Israel will only set the stage for the opposite to happen.  Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Only One Solution to End Violence FRANKLIN GRAHAM: 'ONLY HOPE IS PRINCE OF PEACE'

Dear Friend,
In the aftermath of recent tragic killings such as those that have taken place In New Mexico, Connecticut, and Colorado, our nation has focused on ways to curb gun violence.
But gun control proposals now circulating in Washington and in many state capitals don’t address a more important issue—the constant stream of violence put forth by the entertainment industry. Every year brings a flood of movies, not to mention cable and television programs, that are filled with violence. Whole segments of America’s music industry make their profits from song lyrics that glorify gratuitous violence, and there is seemingly an endless number of video games that are nothing more than murder simulators.
The result of this constant inundation is that our culture has been effectively desensitized to murder and mayhem. Blood-lusty Romans gathered in the Coliseum 2,000 years ago to watch people slaughtered by lions for the purpose of entertainment, and our society is no different. We gather around computers, televisions, and movie screens to watch scene after scene of more graphic violence than anything the Romans could have imagined.
Our current administration in Washington has taken aim at guns as the source of violence, as though murderous acts would cease if we just take the guns away.
But the problem—the real crux of the issue—lies not in the instruments of violence used. Hammers or other blunt objects are used to murder more people in the United States each year than semi-automatic and assault rifles. The root of violence is in the evil and depraved heart of man. God’s Word clearly tells us, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked” (Jeremiah 17:9, NKJV).
The Bible records the first account of violence when Cain killed his brother Abel. Scripture does not tell us what weapon Cain used for his murderous act. It certainly wasn’t a gun. But it could have been a knife, a stick, a rock, or perhaps the very thing that empowers every other weapon of violence—human hands. Jesus said to His disciples, “Out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders …blasphemies” (Matthew 15:19).
This is why moral, heartfelt transformation is really the only solution to the deadly and dangerous ills that are plaguing our nation. The Scripture says we need a new heart, not new legislation or regulations. “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you” (Ezekiel 36:26).
New hearts are made as men and women respond to the preaching of the Gospel of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection. The Holy Spirit opens hearts and minds to believe in the Savior, and with repentance from sins people become new creations in Christ (see 2 Corinthians 5:17). Moral reformation can then happen because there has been spiritual transformation.
Our problems in this country are so huge that I believe we need a massive change to help stem the rising tide of evil. That is exactly what we are launching this year—the largest evangelistic outreach in our history, My Hope with Billy Graham. This paramount effort is close to my father’s heart as he approaches his 95th birthday later this year. What better way to honor his 70-year ministry than to honor the message he has faithfully proclaimed: Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on a cross, shed His blood to cleanse mankind from sin, and was raised to life.
In the next few weeks, we will complete the training of 10,000 trainers across the country for this unprecedented My Hope outreach. Each of these individuals has agreed to train people in four churches—that’s 40,000 churches! In each church, we are trusting God for men and women who will be a part of My Hope. We are asking them to commit to pray for their unsaved friends and neighbors and then invite them to watch a special program we will broadcast on television, Internet, and by DVD, during the week of November 7. We pray that tens of thousands will come to faith in Christ through this effort.
You can also be part of My Hope. Your prayers and financial support are vital to help make it happen.
Jesus said, “I have come that they may have life … more abundantly” (John 10:10). This is the message of the Gospel, and we are called by God to spread this Good News to our neighbors, our nation, and a needy world. I hope you will join us.
In this violent, sin-sick world, our only hope is the Prince of Peace.
May God richly bless you,
Franklin Graham

An international group of Christian lawmakers vow to stop the Iranian nukes

At the Chairman's Conference of the International Israel Allies Caucus in Jerusalem recently a group of Christian lawmakers from around the world signed the declaration of solidarity, a vow to stand with the Jewish state of Israel against the nuclear powered Iran.

These Christian lawmakers from states like the US, Canada, South Africa, the EU, and Brazil among said they would put pressure on their respective governments to stop Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon of mass destruction

Almost on a daily basis, the Iranian leaders say they will wipe Israel off the face of the earth and Iran is indeed developing a nuclear weapon of mass destruction in order to carry out their threat.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

In an effort to show solidarity with Israel, a group of Christian lawmakers from around the world recently vowed to stand with the Jewish state as Israel is the target of Iran for complete annihilation which is a page out of Bible prophecy for the last days.

During a recent meeting of Christian lawmakers from around the world held in Jerusalem these political leaders vowed to pressure their respective governments to show solidarity with Israel, a nation under the threat of total annihilation from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both the Iranian President Ahmadinejad and the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khomenei have said that their nation will lead the way to wipe Israel off the earth. The International Israel Allies Caucus had a group of political leaders from around the world sign the declaration of solidarity, a sign of support for Israel against the threats from Iran.

This scenario fits into the pages of Bible prophecy for the end times when the ancient Jewish prophet Ezekiel foretold of the time in history when Iran, referred to as Persia in Ezekiel 38:5, will help form a coalition of Islamic nations to attack Israel. This show of solidarity by the international lawmakers against Iran will not be the saving force for Israel. Ezekiel prewrote history when he wrote that the Lord will rain hail, fire and brimstone on Israel's enemies when they attack the Jewish state during the first six months of the seven year Tribulation Period, Ezekiel 38:18 - 39:6.

It is a blessing to Israel to receive support from Christian lawmakers from all around the world, but Jesus Christ will take care of the Jewish state.
