As Israel marks the slaughter of six million Jews, the prime minister warns Israelis that they must stop another Holocaust from happening

Holocaust Remembrance Day is a solemn day in Israel and in fact across the whole Jewish world as all Jews mark the slaughter of six million people who were guilty of one thing, they were Jewish.

Under the Nazi regime of Adolf Hitler, Jews in Europe were put in concentration camps and then many of them were exterminated in crematoriums and large furnaces so that the world could be rid of this plight to society.

Memories of the Holocaust haunt the present-day leadership of Israel which motivated the prime minister to tell all Israelis that their nation must stop the development of a nuclear weapon of mass destruction by Iran or the alternative could lead to another horrific Holocaust.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

Holocaust Remembrance Day is a constant reminder of a terrible past for the Jewish people and it must be a warning of a horrific future Holocaust worse than the first according to Bible prophecy.

As Jews in Israel and around the world literally stand in silence for two minutes to honor the victims of the Holocaust on Holocaust Remembrance Day, the warning goes forth of another Holocaust that may not be too far into the future.

At ceremonies in Jerusalem at Yad Veshem, the Holocaust remembrance museum, Israeli PM Netanyahu honored the victims of the Holocaust under Hitler during WWII, but he also warned that Iran and its radical leadership today could launch another Holocaust as they have threatened to do.

Netanyahu reminded Israelis that there could never be another Holocaust and he told his nation that they must lead the way in stopping Iran from developing a nuclear weapon of mass destruction that could be used to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.

The ancient Jewish prophet Zechariah foretold of a time in the future, the time of Jacob's trouble, Zechariah 30:7 when two out of every three Jews will be slaughtered, Zechariah 13:8. This future Holocaust will be so bad that God will dispatch Michael the Archangel to protect the Jewish people from total annihilation, Daniel 12:1.

Marking the slaughter of six million Jews is a reminder of the past, but it must be a warning for the future.

The Palestinian leadership reaffirms that they have not abandoned their armed struggle against Israel

In an announcement from the leadership of the Palestinian people and even the Palestinian government they reaffirmed their program of armed struggle in resistance against what they call the Israeli occupation of their land and their Palestinian state.

The Palestinian leadership has committed to the creation of a Palestinian state and both factions of the Palestinian people, Hamas and Fatah, believe an armed struggled will be needed to remove the Israeli occupiers from their land in order to be able to create a Palestinian state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As the Palestinian terror groups reaffirm their commitment to an armed struggle to remove Israeli occupiers from their land the stage is being set for the end of times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been the focus of world leaders for many years as efforts have been made to bring resolution to this conflict. The Palestinians had an opportunity for their own state when the UN put forth the Partition Plan in 1948 and the Palestinians rejected the plan. Now the leadership of the Palestinian people are calling for a two state solution with a Palestinian state and a Jewish state side by side. The struggle between these two peoples has seen many killed on both sides over the years with failure at the peace table in order to be able to come to an agreement.

This conflict did not start in recent history but instead it was 4000 years ago when it started in the womb of their mother. That battle between Jacob and Esau, the Jewish people and the Palestinian people, started as they struggled before birth in their mother Rebecca, Genesis 25:22. God told their mother that these two boys would become two nations, Genesis 25:23 which reveals that these two people would be the Jewish people and the Palestinian people of today. Malachi 1 states that the Palestinians will have their borders and God will call these borders the borders of wickedness. Ezekiel 35 states that the Palestinians will kill the Jews and take their land. Obadiah reveals the end of the Palestinian people when Jesus Christ comes back to earth.

Even though the Palestinians are waging an armed struggle against the Jewish people today, I remind you that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

The US Congress is funding a hate mechanism called the Palestinian Authority

PMW Director Itamar Marcus in Washington, D.C. there to tell the US Congress they are funding hate and terrorism among the Palestinian people. Here is what Itamar had to tell me about that visit to Washington, D.C.

Itamar Marcus: We met with members of Congress and we were showing them what was happening with American funding of the Palestinian Authority. The US has good intentions. They are hoping to build infrastructures of the PA because they are hoping that it will then be able to create a peaceful state, but what we were documenting, and we were showing them that they are also paying for TV programs where you have little children on TV saying that Christians and Jews are inferior and despised and it calls for the Muslim world to literally counter the Jewish and Christian world to defeat the Jewish and Christian world and I am talking about children's programs.

The minister of prisoners of the PA visits every week with some of the families of prisoners who have killed dozens of Israelis and he honors those prisoners, he calls them heroes and who is paying his salary, the PA, who is paying them money for that, the US. The US with all of its good intentions is actively funding a hate mechanism called the PA, a terror promoting and glorifying mechanism called the PA and Congress is now being made aware of this and the question is what to do about it so it can really have an impact and change the PA.

Jimmy: Itamar Marcus, head of Palestinian Media Watch, they monitor the Palestinian electronic and print media and because of that responsibility it gave capability to address some members of the US Congress with the concerns that Israel has as the US Congress continues to fund the PA.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As the US Congress continues to fund the PA, they are actually setting the stage for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

The radical Palestinian groups to day are  killing Jews and endeavoring to take their land. That scenario was foretold in Bible prophecy 2500 years ago. You could go to a number of passages in Scripture: Malachi 1, the little book of Obadiah, Jeremiah 49 and find out about this scenario, but speaking to the issue most distinctly is Ezekiel 35 which reveals that the Lord will judge the Palestinian people for killing Jews, verse 5 and in verse 10 for taking their land.

This is the present day scene in Israel and as the US Congress continues to fund hate and terrorism being perpetrated upon the Jewish people by the PA, the stage is being set for end time prophecy to be fulfilled.

Thousands of Christian pilgrims gather in Jerusalem to celebrate Easter

Thousands of Christian pilgrims gather in Jerusalem to celebrate Easter

April 18, 2014

Under high security for the Jewish feast of Passover in Jerusalem, the Israeli government has a large security force in place for the Easter weekend as well as thousands of Christian pilgrims flood the city for this very special holy day that marks the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. With both holidays happening at the same time this year as it did some 2000 years ago, the city of Jerusalem has come virtually to a standstill as both Jewish and Christian worshipers gather into the Old City for special events.

These two holy days, Passover for the Jews and Easter for the Christians, are an intricate part of the faith and experience of both Jews and Christians.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Jewish holy day of Passover and the Christian celebration of Easter have a unique relationship and a prophetic significance.

This year, the Jewish feast day of Passover and the Christian holy day of Easter happen at the same time as they did in 30 AD in the city of Jerusalem. Almost 2000 years ago, the Jews were celebrating the Passover Seder, the same night that Jesus gathered his disciples around him in an upper room in Jerusalem to also go through the traditional Jewish meal to mark the Passover. On that first Easter weekend, resurrection weekend, Jesus Christ raised from the dead after having been crucified on a cross at 3:00PM Passover afternoon.

The biblical account of this historic event shows that the one proclaimed to be the Jewish Messiah was buried on the Jewish feast of Unleavened Bread and rose from the dead on the Jewish feast day of First Fruits. These Jewish feast days Passover, Unleavened Bread, and First Fruits, have a prophetic significance in that Jesus was Passover Lamb for the Christians (I Corinthians 5:7). The Apostle Paul also wrote in I Corinthians 15:20 that Jesus was the First Fruits for those who will receive Him as their Savior.

The person Jesus Christ, the Messiah, fulfilled the first three of the Spring feast days for the Jewish people as was foretold. Jesus Christ will fulfill the last three Fall Jewish feast days as well and by doing so, become the Jewish Messiah and the Christian Savior, becoming the fulfillment of Bible prophecy for both Jews and Christians.

Jews around the world celebrate the release from the Egyptian bondage at Passover

Thirty-five hundred years ago, a Jewish prophet named Moses led the Jewish people out of the Egyptian bondage and into freedom at a time in history when the God of the Jewish people spared the firstborn of each family who marked their doorposts with the blood of a lamb so that the Death Angel would pass over their home.

Now, for these many centuries, the Jews mark this special holy day with a Passover Seder meal and the rehearsal of the exodus story as recorded in the Bible, God's Word.

People all over the world, even presidents and other world leaders, recognize the reality of the One true God as the Jewish people mark this first of the seven Jewish feasts, the Passover.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

As Jews around the world celebrate Passover, it is a reminder of past history but also of the prophetic significance this Jewish holy day reveals to all who are students of Bible prophecy.

Thirty-five hundred years ago the Jewish people were released from 400 years of Egyptian bondage by the sacrifice of the lamb and then painting the doorposts of their homes with the lamb's blood so that the Death Angel would pass over their home. God's command to observe the Passover throughout all of their generations forever is still being followed today.

As you think of the first Passover there in Egypt, one must be reminded that the Jewish Messiah, Jesus Christ, died on Passover 2000 years ago. Interestingly, Jesus was buried on the next Jewish feast day, Unleavened Bread, He resurrected on the Jewish feast of First Fruits, and as He had promised, the Holy Spirit came upon man on Pentecost, the fourth of the Jewish feast days.

This is evidence of the prophetic significance of these Jewish feasts, but also demands that Jesus Christ fulfill the three remaining feasts as He did the first four. Jesus will come back to earth on the Feast of Trumpets, enter the Temple on the Day of Atonement, and begin His 1000 year Kingdom on the Feast of Tabernacles.

Jesus Christ, the Jewish Messiah, has been and will be the fulfillment of all Jewish feasts. The observance of the Jewish Passover is indeed evidence that Bible prophecy will be fulfilled.

Blood Moon Tetrad (2014-2015): A Sign of the End?

The speculation that this blood moon tetrad may be directly connected with Christ’s return is completely based on speculation connected with biblical prophecies found most notably in Joel 2 (and as quoted by Peter in Acts 2), Matthew 24 and Revelation 6.
And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth:
Blood and fire and pillars of smoke.
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the LORD. (Joel 2:30-31, NKJV)

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. (Matthew 24:29–30, NKJV)

I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place. And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, (Revelation 6:12–15, NKJV)
These passages refer to God’s coming judgment upon the earth as part of what is known in the Old Testament as “the Day of the Lord” (or frequently just “that day”). Furthermore, these passages clearly indicate that there will be specific events in nature which will serve as signs that God’s judgment is at hand or that it is already underway. When understood in light of other passages, we know that this judgment will begin shortly after the rapture of the church and prior to the Lord’s return to the earth, during the seven-year tribulation period.
However, do the Scriptures genuinely support the conclusion that these upcoming eclipses are the specific signs predicted by Jesus and Joel and which were shown to John the apostle?
While I fully believe that we may be in the last of the last days, and I also understand that we must always be prepared for the Lord’s appearing, there are very real dangers associated with attempting to assign prophetic fulfillment to specific current geo-political, religious, societal or natural events. Many have tried to do this in the past, leading to scores of failed predictions concerning the rapture, the tribulation, the rise of the antichrist, Christ’s return and the end of the world.
Of course we certainly don’t want to miss any signs from the Lord, but concerning His return, Jesus issued this warning:
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. . . .Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. (Matthew 24:36–44, NKJV)
Mark records that Jesus said that even He was among those who did not know the time of His return by including the rather remarkable phrase “…nor the Son”:
But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. (Mark 13:32–33, NKJV)
Understanding the expression “No man knows the day or hour” is not possible by simply taking the English translation literally, because in the book of Daniel and the Book of Revelation, we are given EXACT descriptions of timing, relative to KEY events – such as the shutting down of the altar sacrifices in Jerusalem at the MID-POINT of the 70th week. Dan 9:27
Jesus was asked, “When shall these things be?” Matt 24:3
His answer ties us in to a very specific event (The Abomination of Desolation) which can be measured on our calendars: “When you therefore shall see the Abomination Of Desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoever reads, let him understand:)…” Matt 24:15It is now clear that “no man knows the day or hour” does NOT mean “no man knows the day or hour” as we read it from a modern-day English perspective. (emphasis mine).
All we can do is be ready when the time and day comes,be ready to see the Lord.

'The Hal Lindsey Report'

As I write these words, I am amazed at the speed with which events are moving today. I receive constant updates from across the world so that I can bring you perspective each week on how those developments fit into the end times' prophetic scenario.

But sometimes it's almost too much.

The Bible tells us that in the last days, the "signs" of the times will appear with ever-increasing frequency and intensity. In our modern lingo, maybe we could describe this phenomena as "the signs of the times on steroids!"

But not everything that advances the prophetic scenario of the final days of this Age is an identifiable "event" like an earthquake or a war, etc. Much of what clues us in to the fact that these are the final days can be found in the rapid deterioration of our ideals, morals, and societal values.

I've been reading today about stunning recent revelations concerning the collusion between prominent Democrat lawmakers and the IRS to stifle dissenting opinion. Not only am I alarmed, I'm sickened by the dishonesty, duplicity, and deviousness of those who are desperately trying to subvert our nation and destroy the values and traditions that have made America the greatest nation on earth.

But this ramping up of the battle to silence Christians and those of conservative moral values is predicted for these days by the ancient prophets. I'm not surprised, but I'm still dismayed that many of our own government leaders are seeking to tear down what has been granted to us by the mercy and favor of God.

In the past couple of weeks, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry seems to have finally hit the wall. He's been chasing around frantically the last 14 months in a mad dash to resolve the Palestinian/Israeli conflict. He has seemed determined, to the point of obsession, to succeed where all others have failed. That is, to finally bring "peace" to the Middle East.

Nine months ago, Kerry pressured Israel and the Palestinian Authority (PA) into another round of negotiations in search of a settlement. As that period draws to a close, Mahmoud Abbas decided to break his promise to Kerry and begin signing on to several United Nations treaties and conventions. His plan is to join as many UN entities as possible and thereby imply "statehood status" for the Palestinian Authority even though it is not a state.

The move angered Kerry and he abruptly cancelled a scheduled final trip to Israel. Then he told the press that the U.S. could not continue to deal with this issue "indefinitely." At the time, he seemed to blame both parties for not wanting peace.

In the meantime, I suppose the powerful Muslim lobby in the White House flexed its muscle and when Secretary Kerry showed up at a Congressional hearing this week, he placed the blame for the breakdown squarely on Israel's shoulders. Of course, for this administration that's standard operating procedure. Nonetheless, the slam has infuriated Israel's leadership. And rightly so.

You know, Mr. Kerry could save himself a lot of grief if he took some time to study the Bible and take its warnings to heart. The prophet Zechariah warned that in the last days, Jerusalem will become "a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured...." (Zechariah 12:3 NASB) But I don't find any indication in the Bible that the world's leaders will take that warning seriously.

After watching the homosexual movement wreak its vengeance on all who disagree with it, much less oppose it (I'm thinking Chick-Fil-A, Elane Photography in New Mexico, Phil Robertson, even as far back as Anita Bryant), why am I surprised at the latest example of the fascist intolerance of the LGBT crowd?

Brendan Eich, the inventor of JavaScript and one of the co-founders of Mozilla (best known for its Firefox web browser), was recently named Chief Executive Officer at Mozilla. After only 10 days on the job, Eich was forced to resign because six years ago he donated $1,000 to an organization supporting California Proposition 8.

Prop 8 was an amendment passed by California voters in 2008 to overturn a judge's decision to allow same-sex marriage in California.

In a pathetic effort to placate the LGBT movement's anti-free-speech crusaders, the chairwoman of Mozilla's board issued a gratuitous, nauseating apology. Here are a few pertinent lines: "Mozilla prides itself on being held to a different standard and, this past week, we didn't live up to it.... We're sorry. We must do better.... Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech. Equality is necessary for meaningful speech. And you need free speech to fight for equality."

I must apologize. If you heard the peal of disbelieving laughter in the background, that was me. Can you believe that Chairwoman Mitchell Baker actually had the audacity to use the need for free speech to defend the forced resignation of Mr. Eich for engaging in free speech? And she did it with a straight face. And she got away with it. Maybe after that bravura performance she's being considered to replace Kathleen Sebelius at HHS!

Many of you think I'm over the top when I warn you that persecution (and eventual prosecution) is just up the road for Christians right here in America. And the justification for it will have its roots in a brilliant satanic device called "political correctness." If a man who is a genuine "star" in the hi-tech software world can lose his job because he exercised his constitutional right to express his opinion six years ago, then mark my words, it can happen to you.

Of course, it will only happen to you if you stand for something like the Constitution of the United States or Jesus Christ. If you don't, then you have no worries. But if you exercise your rights to freedom of speech or freedom of religion or if you have the audacity to publicly declare the claims of Jesus Christ or Biblical values, then you're in for a rocky road.

And I can say this with authority because this is not simply a political or ideological conflict. This is a spiritual conflict. In fact, this boils down to Satan's war with the Word of God. Beginning in the Garden of Eden when Satan first planted doubt in Eve's mind about God's truthfulness and continuing to his direct contradiction of God's explicit word to Adam and Eve, his goal has been to destroy our confidence in and reliance on God's immutable Word.

And in today's increasingly "politically correct" atmosphere, Satan's plan is to intimidate us into shutting up. The first thing he wants to do is silence us because the last thing he wants is for us to boldly declare the truth of God's Word.

Never before has it been so important for us to realize the power of the Word of God. In the days to come, it will be the rock on which we will stand or by which we will be broken.

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'

In February, the state of Arizona was the target of threats from major corporations, national civic and service organizations, even the National Football League. All because of a piece of legislation the Arizona legislature had passed.

Before Governor Jan Brewer finally vetoed the bill, she was even urged to do so by such "conservative" luminaries as Mitt Romney and John McCain.

What on earth caused all the ruckus? Why did the NFL threaten to withdraw next year's Super Bowl from Phoenix? Did Arizona's legislators legalize human trafficking? Maybe they approved euthanasia of all persons over 65? Did they propose seceding from the Union?

Not quite. The Arizona legislature simply passed a state version of a federal act that had been been signed into law in 1993 by Bill Clinton after it had passed the House unanimously and the Senate by a vote of 97-3.

The federal law was called "The Religious Freedom Restoration Act." So was the Arizona version.

Essentially, it said that government could not pass laws or institute regulations that caused an undue burden on a person's free exercise of religion (unless there was an unusually "compelling" government interest in doing so).

Its intent was to prevent various "rights activists" from using existing laws or extra-legislative regulations to force individuals to act in ways that conflicted with their religious beliefs.

Of course, most of us grew up believing that the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution did that. Apparently we were either misinformed or the Constitution has been so mangled by those who despise it that it's no longer legible.

The Arizona legislators felt compelled to address the situation that has been caused of late by LGBT activists who have been demanding that photographers, florists, bakers, caterers, hospitality establishments, even churches that oppose same-sex marriage be required to service their "weddings" even though it conflicts with the religious beliefs and convictions of the service providers.

Apparently the days of business owners being able to say, "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone" are just a memory.

You'll recall the situation of the young photographer in New Mexico who politely declined to accept a job to photograph a lesbian "commitment ceremony" because of her religious convictions. The New Mexico Human Rights Commission found her in violation of anti-discrimination laws and ordered her to pay several thousand dollars in penalties. Later, the New Mexico Supreme Court upheld that decision.

(As an interesting and infuriating aside, it was revealed recently that a New Mexico hairdresser had refused to style the hair of New Mexico's governor Susana Martinez because Governor Martinez opposed same-sex marriage. I'm guessing it's not exactly a two-way street, is it?)

So the proposed Arizona law that would further protect the exercise of religious freedom by its citizens -- for which the First Amendment should be sufficient but apparently isn't -- never saw the light of day.

By the way, while I'm on the subject, I recently heard someone in the Mainstream Media pull out that old canard that the Right wants to "legislate morality." Is that so bad? The Left is frantically legislating immorality, and we can all see how that's working out!

Speaking of pushing immorality, last week Raymond Cardinal Burke, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of the Vatican City State, caused quite a stir. He told a Polish magazine, "The president of the United States has become progressively more hostile toward Christian civilization. He appears to be a totally secularized man who aggressively promotes anti-life and anti-family policies."

Talk about hitting the nail on its head. But the Cardinal wasn't finished. He went on to warn that, "Now he wants to restrict the exercise of freedom of religion to freedom of worship."

Folks, that's a crucial distinction. Be wary when you hear our government officials confirm that our "freedom of worship" is and will continue to be a cherished right here in America. "Freedom of worship" is not the same as "freedom of religion." Cardinal Burke went on to explain, "[Obama] holds that one is free to act according to his conscience within the confines of his place of worship but that, once the person leaves the place of worship, the government can constrain him to act against his rightly-formed conscience, even in the most serious of moral questions."

All I can add to that is, "Bingo!"

Even now in the United Kingdom, Christians are told they can pray and worship as they wish at their church or synagogue. However, in the workplace and in public, you must keep your religion and your faith to yourself. And that's under penalty of law in some cases. Of course, if you're a Muslim, just go ahead and do what you will. But that's another story.

Most of the Cardinal's critics have dismissed his comments as a typical Catholic reaction to the Affordable Healthcare Act's provisions mandating birth control. But he was speaking truth. And if more of us don't start speaking up and speaking out, everything he warns about will take root and someday soon we'll only be able to publicly share the Gospel under threat of prosecution and imprisonment.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record (Sorry, if you're under 40 you probably don't know what that reference means!), persecution and prosecution are inevitably headed our way. Even now, in some of the "enlightened" Western nations, it is against the law to preach what the Bible says about the sanctity of marriage, the sanctity of family, the sanctity of life, or the sanctity of Christ's sacrifice. In Canada and Sweden, pastors have been fined and even sent to "re-education" classes for pushing the claims of Christ in these matters.

The speed with which these changes are occurring tells us one thing -- Jesus Christ's coming for His blood-bought Church is right around the corner. Let the nearness of His coming inspire us to live uncompromising Christian lives; encourage us to spread the Gospel with urgency; and persuade us to "lay aside every encumbrance, and the sin which so easily entangles us...." (Hebrews 12:1) The time to prepare is now. After He comes, it will be too late.

As world leaders work for peace in the Middle East the current peace agreements are unraveling

World leaders in America, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East are working to bring about a peace in the Middle East even as three peace agreements between Israel and their neighbors are actually unraveling and may not be in effect for very long.

The Camp David Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt, is almost a thing of the past with the present situation in Egypt as is the case with the peace treaty between Israel and Jordan with most Jordanians wanting to dissolve that treaty.

The Oslo Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, has never been normalized and is not a working agreement because the radical Islamists among the Palestinians have no regard for the treaty and in fact are calling for an armed struggle to eliminate the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With three different peace agreements between Israel and her neighbors in place the Middle East peace process is in bad shape but it will be rescued according to Bible prophecy.

In 1979, Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accords, the first peace treaty that Israel ever signed with an enemy state. The Palestinians and the Israelis also came to an agreement on peace in 1993 with the Oslo Accords. In October of 1994, the late King Hussein of Jordan and the late Yitzhak Rabin prime minister of Israel, both signed a peace treaty between the two nations. What is common with all of these peace agreements is that they never have been normalized. Even the peace envoy for the Quartet, which is the US, EU, UN, and Russia, Tony Blair has not been successful in bringing about peace. However, I must remind you that Bible prophecy does call for a world leader to come on the scene who will be successful in putting a peace treaty in place that he will make work.

Daniel 9:27 says that the Antichrist will confirm a treaty between Israel and her neighbors. I did not say he will sign a treaty, but instead confirm, strengthen, make stronger, make the treaty work. In order for this to happen, there must be a peace treaty or three peace treaties on the table not working. The Antichrist will confirm them.

There are three peace treaties on the table not working, waiting for the Antichrist, a world leader, to appear.

A leading rabbinical thinker says Europe is no longer a Christian continent

Rabbi David Rosen, a leading Jewish thinker, says that the continent of Europe has diversified religiously and is no longer a Christian continent since there are now 13 million Muslims and over one million Jews among the 370 million who tell pollsters that they are Christians, but I must tell you that church attendance is almost nil.

EU institutions avoid God, however in some European member states as well as those nations wanting to join the EU, Christian origins are still politically important.

Some EU leaders voiced concern about the growth of Islam on the European continent and fear the increase of Muslims with the possible entrance of Albania, Kosovo, and Turkey into the membership of the EU.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The subject of religion and its connection to the continent of Europe has a significance in the end times events that are found in Bible prophecy.

A leading rabbinical thinker, David Rosen, says that the continent of Europe has diversified religiously in recent years and is no longer a Christian continent. For hundreds of years, Christianity was headquartered on the European continent and it was the center of missionary activity around the world. With the emergence of the common market in Europe and the ratification of the EU, religion has played  less of a role in this part of the world, however the Catholic church has for years worked to make sure that religion played a major role in the EU. Many EU leaders have voiced concerns about the growth of the Muslim population in Europe at this time in history.

This unfolding story echoes what the Bible lays out for the last days scenario on the continent of Europe. Daniel 7:7-24 speaks of the revived Roman Empire that has a major religious element in its makeup. Revelation 13 and 17 both reveal the key role that religion plays in the end times. In fact, in the first 3 1/2 years of the 7 year Tribulation there will be a world religion that will be headquartered in Rome, Italy.

Religion does play a major role in the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.
