The Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas says the man responsible for killing more Jews than any other Arab in recent history is his hero

The leader of the PA, a leader among the Palestinian people today, Mahmoud Abbas says that the murderer of the Jewish people, the infamous Haj Amman El Husein who was the collaborator with Hitler and the Nazis, the Mufti of Jerusalem back in the 1940s, is his hero.

Haj Amman El Husein met with Hitler and agreed that Hitler would murder the Jews in Europe and the mufti would organize the mass murder of Jews in the Middle East.

Haj Amman El Husein who had the title of the Mufti of Jerusalem was the uncle of Yasser Arafat who kept alive his uncle's desire to kill all the Jews in the Middle East, a legacy that has now been passed down to the leaders of the Palestinian people of today.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

The Palestinian leadership today looks back to the Mufti of Jerusalem, a mass murderer of Jews, as the Palestinian leader to emulate today which is actually a page out of Bible prophecy.

In the 1930's and the 1940's an Arab leader rose to power and was responsible for the murder of thousands of Jews living in the land of Israel and in fact throughout the entire Middle East. That man, the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amman El Husein was the strongest Arab leader in those days and he joined with Adolf Hitler and the Nazis to plan the final solution for the Jews in Europe and the Middle East. Haj Amman El Husein was the uncle of Yasser Arafat and was responsible for training his nephew to hate the Jews and then to kill as many of the Jews as he could. Now, the second man for Arafat for those many years is Mahmoud Abbas, he is the leader of the Palestinian government and he says the Mufti of Jerusalem his hero, a man that every Palestinian should emulate.

The ancient Jewish prophets prewrote history on this subject and this threat to the Jewish people. Ezekiel 35:5 reveals that the Palestinians will rise up and kill the Jews today. These murderous efforts to eliminate the Jews from the Middle East is foretold in Zechariah 13:8 where it says that two out of every three Jews will be killed during the time of Jacob's Trouble, Jeremiah 37 and that happens during the terrible time of the Tribulation Period.

Only the coming of the Messiah, Jesus Christ will stop the Palestinians from killing all of the Jews in the Middle East, Obadiah 18.

"The Hal Lindsey Report," I'll present Part Two of my "Prophetic Year in Review: 2013."

I continue to examine the major stories of the past year that I feel are significant in the light of Bible prophecy.

For many, the year's top story has been the revelations about the unbelievable scope of the National Security Agency's spying activities. For most of us, things like that are usually "out of sight, out of mind." However, Edward Snowden's shocking document leaks have opened our eyes to the danger we face from our own government. And as we're being reminded daily, not everyone in government plays by the rules.

The current and foreseeable capabilities of our government's intelligence communities are not only hard to quantify, but they actually defy logic! Who on earth needs the kind of information tracking and storage capacities that our government now has -- never mind the unimaginable amounts they soon will have!

I know who -- the Antichrist.

If you read the Bible's description of that time in the earth's future, one thing the Antichrist gains is total control over everyone on earth. To have total control, he'll need unbelievable amounts of information on everyone and the ability to manipulate that information to his advantage. That's how he'll be able to dictate who can buy, sell, hold a job, or, maybe, even receive healthcare.

Another thing the Antichrist will need is an emasculated American military. He certainly doesn't want to deal with America's current armed forces -- the most powerful in the world with a higher percentage of Christians than the civilian population. That means he needs to drive the Christians out of the services (or at least muzzle them) and so bind up the military with political correctness that it is powerless.

In 2013, the Antichrist's sponsor, Satan, made a lot of progress in that direction.

And as Christians in America's armed forces began to feel the heat of social recrimination and organizational castigation, it was mirrored on a global scale with an increase in persecution and martyrdom of Christians and Christian populations around the world, especially throughout the Middle East. The U.S. State Department says that in 2013, Christians were actively persecuted in more than 60 nations worldwide. But, then, Jesus Himself warned that would happen in the days just before His return.

Here in the United States, we continued our headlong plunge back into the '60s. Colorado passed laws permitting the sale of marijuana for recreational use. As you can guess, the lines extended down the block, even in the snow! One interesting thing, though, is that in all the news video I've seen from the lines at the cannabis stores, everyone seems to be smiling and in a mellow mood.

Seriously, though, the marijuana turnaround is just an illustration that the American mantra of recent years: "Follow your heart," is nothing more than a rehash of the mantra of the '60s: "If it feels good, do it."

Folks, that is a recipe for disaster. Don't follow your heart, follow God's Word. The Bible says, "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9) If we follow something (or someone) that is inherently wicked, why are we surprised when we end up in a wicked place?

As Jesus observed, if you build your house on sand (the world's belief system), it will surely fall. If you build it on a foundation of rock (His Word), it will stand forever. I'm sad to say that as each year passes, America's house crumbles further. Why? Because over the last century, we've allowed our foundation to be consistently eroded by Godless elements and factions in our society. We are now paying the price.

As each year passes, we see an accelerating fulfillment of the predictions of the ancient prophets. Even those who criticize the study of Bible prophecy cannot deny that the pace of dramatic events is increasing. 2013 saw more than its share of those dramatic, identifiable prophetic advancements. That means this Age is rapidly drawing to a close. Make certain you, your family, your friends and co-workers have received the gift of pardon that Jesus Christ died to purchase for all of us who will receive it.

The Mark of the Beast

The Antichrist will have become so drunk on power that he will hatch a scheme to force every person on earth to pledge his or her allegiance to him. It will be decreed that every individual will have to swear allegiance to the Antichrist and his one-world government or be boycotted economically. Each person on earth will be issued a global ID number that will be absolutely required to hold or obtain a job. Anyone employing a person without the global ID will be branded as a subversive and an enemy of the state. Once a person cannot find a job, he will no longer be able to “buy or sell”. He will have to bow the knee to the New World Order or else.

And what is meant by “or else”? The Bible says that those who oppose the Antichrist and his system of global governance will even be killed. Scripturally, it appears that it will be worse than life under Stalin, Hitler and Mao Tse-tung combined!

Al Qaeda is calling for Jihad, a holy war

Dr. Al Zawari who is the head of Al Qaeda is calling for a Middle Eastern Jihad, a holy war, and he wants the Islamic world to join him in this battle. Ken Timmerman covers geo-politcal activities for us and he is in Washington, DC with this report.

Ken Timmerman: It is actually a bit funny because Zawari is trying to divert attention from the failure of Al Qaeda in Syria to overthrow Assad and at the same time in this statement he is throwing stones at the Iranians who in the past have been his biggest supporters. Zawari was the man who along with Imad for the Iranians who solidified the Al Qaeda-Iran connection back in the 1990's.

He has historically been the leader in Al Qaeda who has promoted a Sunni-Shia healing process, a unity between Sunnis and Shias and now in fact he is breaking off from that, he is accusing the Iranians of trouble making in Syria and he has essentially joined Yousef Kawadowi, the Palestinian preacher on Al Jazeera who called for a Jihad against Iran and Syria just last week. So, calling for holy war against Israel is just his way of patching up this increasing Sunni-Shia divide trying to divert attention from that and focus it on the Muslims traditional whipping boy.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

A call for holy war in the Middle East by Al Qaeda is a precursor to the end time prophetic scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

There will be a Jihad in the future, a holy war across the entire Middle East and it will focus on the Jewish state of Israel. Ezekiel 38, Daniel 11, and Psalm 83 are the prophecies pertaining to this holy war. This will be an alignment of Islamic states to attack the Jewish state of Israel and only God will be able to save the Jewish people, Ezekiel 38:18-39:6.

As we look at the Middle East according to the report from Ken Timmerman on our broadcast today, we can understand where we are in God's time. All the actors are in place and any student of Bible prophecy can recognize that the curtain is about to go up for that final drama.

In the Middle East with this call for Jihad, a holy war, the stage is set for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled.

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu is holding weekly Bible studies

In his speech at the UN General Assembly, Israeli PM Netanyahu quoted many prophetic passages in his address to the UN delegates. Many media people made comment on the usage of Scripture by a world leader at the UN. Prophecy Today broadcast partner David Dolan also was amazed with the PM's usage of prophetic passages of Scripture.

David Dolan: Well Jimmy first of all I thought how remarkable it is that you can have a world leader, a leader of a country on earth who can quote from ancient prophecies about his specific people group being scattered from the land and then returning to the land from all over the earth as he quoted from the various prophets and as he said as the Scriptures say, never to be uprooted from it again.

He was just accurately quoting the Bible. By the way, every week he has a Bible study with his son and they go through the Scriptures. They study them every Saturday, every Sabbath day. He knows the Bible very, very well. I have heard him quote it before and he knows it accurately. He knows the Scriptures.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

PM Netanyahu's knowledge of the Scriptures gives the Israeli leader an understanding of the end of times scenario that is found in Bible prophecy.

Everybody was amazed by the usage of prophetic passages in the speech at the UN by PM Netanyahu of Israel. PM Netanyahu actually sets a great example for all of us to study Bible prophecy as well. When you begin your study of Bible prophecy, you will see that there are four major trends that can be found in the prophetic passages. Number one, the Jews will return to the land of their forefathers. That has been the case over 150 years.

It also talks about nations which will align themselves against the Jewish state of Israel, and as we look at current events unfolding in the Middle East, we know that is the case also. World leaders will work for peace, a resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and in fact peace across the entire Middle East. The last trend is that the Jews will prepare to build a Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.

As I have talked about these four major trends, the Jews back in the land, Middle Eastern nations aligning themselves against the Jewish state of Israel, world leaders working to bring about peace in the Middle East, and the Jews preparing to build a Temple on the Temple Mount, we see as we look at current events that the stage is being set for each of these trends to be fulfilled.

This week 'The Hal Lindsey Report'

"The Prophetic Year in Review: 2013."

For more than 20 years now, we've watched with fascination the dramatic storyline unfold in Russia. After the fall of the Soviet Union and Russia's first faltering steps toward democracy, some observers criticized Ezekiel's prediction that Russia -- referred to as Magog by the prophet -- would someday lead a confederation of nations against Israel.

Though Russia has never regained the "superpower" status previously enjoyed by the Soviet Union, it has become a powerful regional player that is extending its hegemony into the Middle East. More importantly, in 2013 its leader Vladimir Putin enjoyed a breakout year. In fact, because of his astute manipulation of the Syrian civil war crisis and the Iran - United States nuclear standoff, Forbes magazine declared him the most powerful man in the world -- a position traditionally held by the President of the United States.

For years now, Russia has been the protector of Iran ("Persia" in Ezekiel's prophecy). By pressuring the P5+1 nations into allowing Iran to continue unabated its pursuit of nuclear weapons and by helping President Obama save face in his confrontation with Syria (Iran's most important ally), Vladimir Putin seems to be maneuvering Russia into exactly the position predicted by Ezekiel more than 2,600 years ago.

If that's not genuine advancement of the end-times prophetic scenario, I don't know what is!

But the Middle East wasn't the only hot spot in the world last year. The country that tutored Iran on how to play the West for suckers had its own share of drama. In North Korea, the world's wackiest (and potentially most dangerous) dictator, Kim Jong-un continued to solidify his control over the world's most secretive and oppressive dystopia.

Kim the Third is working frantically to develop a missile that can reach the United States with its nuclear warhead. Of course, North Korea has been exporting its nuclear knowledge and technology to Iran and Syria for many years now, but Kim Jong-un is demonstrating a level of ruthlessness that is making many leaders in the rest of the world increasingly uneasy about what the future holds for the Korean peninsula and Japan.

Here in the United States, the Supreme Court made its own contribution to the moral free-fall predicted by Jesus Himself for the last days of this Age. By striking down key portions of the "Defense of Marriage Act" (DOMA), the justices cracked open the door for what will undoubtedly be a national redefinition of God's sacred institution of marriage.

Jesus said that in the time before His return for those who had accepted His sacrifice for their sins, it will be "as it was in the days of Lot." How was it in the "days of Lot?" Simply put, there was a societal acceptance and celebration of homosexuality.

I don't believe we're there quite yet, but on the subject of marriage, 2013 saw a major turning away of the hearts of the young from God and His Word. And that shift is being led, promoted, and celebrated by the highest leaders in our land.

I think that can mean only one thing, folks. Next stop: Heaven! All aboard! Get ready today.

As world leaders work for peace in the Middle East the current peace agreements are unraveling

World leaders in America, Europe, Russia, and the Middle East are working to bring about a peace in the Middle East even as three peace agreements between Israel and their neighbors are actually unraveling and may not be in effect for very long.

The Camp David Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and Egypt, is almost a thing of the past with the present situation in Egypt as is the case with the peace treaty between Israel and Jordan with most Jordanians wanting to dissolve that treaty.

The Oslo Accords, a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinians, has never been normalized and is not a working agreement because the radical Islamists among the Palestinians have no regard for the treaty and in fact are calling for an armed struggle to eliminate the Jewish state.

Jimmy's Prophetic Prospective on the News

With three different peace agreements between Israel and her neighbors in place the Middle East peace process is in bad shape but it will be rescued according to Bible prophecy.

In 1979, Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accords, the first peace treaty that Israel ever signed with an enemy state. The Palestinians and the Israelis also came to an agreement on peace in 1993 with the Oslo Accords. In October of 1994, the late King Hussein of Jordan and the late Yitzhak Rabin prime minister of Israel, both signed a peace treaty between the two nations. What is common with all of these peace agreements is that they never have been normalized. Even the peace envoy for the Quartet, which is the US, EU, UN, and Russia, Tony Blair has not been successful in bringing about peace. However, I must remind you that Bible prophecy does call for a world leader to come on the scene who will be successful in putting a peace treaty in place that he will make work.

Daniel 9:27 says that the Antichrist will confirm a treaty between Israel and her neighbors. I did not say he will sign a treaty, but instead confirm, strengthen, make stronger, make the treaty work. In order for this to happen, there must be a peace treaty or three peace treaties on the table not working. The Antichrist will confirm them.

There are three peace treaties on the table not working, waiting for the Antichrist, a world leader, to appear.

Two-Minute Warning by Hal Lindsey

Sand falls through the hourglass, chimes ring out, a clock ticks, and an alarm sounds. We end 2013 as we began it — in a mad dash down a broad and slippery road running from the height of human ideals to the depth of human depravity.
Biblically, "the last days" began on the day of Pentecost following the ascension of Jesus. On that occasion, Simon Peter stood and addressed Jews who were present in Jerusalem, but who represented far-flung lands and nationalities — a mini-United Nations. He said, "This is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel," [Acts 2:16] then went on to quote the prophet.
In our time, we see the fulfillment of the prophets’ words for the last of the last days. Who will stand before this generation and proclaim, "This is that which was spoken by the prophets"?
Jesus taught that only God the Father knows the exact moment of His coming, but that we should watch for the signs of the times. We are not to set dates, but to watch for certain indicators. We will not know the day, but we will know the season of His return. Hebrews 10:25 speaks of us seeing the day of the Lord approach. The way we see that day approach is by seeing the gathering and increasing signs of His coming. In Matthew 24:33, Jesus speaks of those signs, and then says, "When you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors."
For 21st century football fans, the two-minute warning means a time to stop the game and show some ads on television. It’s a misnomer now to call it a "warning" because anyone in the stadium can look at the clock and know exactly how much time is left. In earlier days, one of the game officials kept the clock on the field. There might or might not have been a stadium clock, but if it was there, it was unofficial. It gave the fans and participants a general idea of the time remaining, but could be way off. So, with two minutes left, the officials stopped the game and notified both sides that there was only a little time left — what you’re going to do, you must do now.
In a long distance race, it’s called the "gun lap" or the "bell lap." With one lap to go, a race official fires a gun or rings a bell, indicating that the race is almost over. What you’re going to do, you must do now.
In the usual process of childbirth, no one knows the exact time of the child’s entry into the world. But as the day draws near, signs accumulate. The mother’s outward appearance reflects the child’s growth. She grows to a point that might have seemed impossible a few months before. Finally, labor begins. The mother’s contractions grow in frequency and in intensity until they are almost constant and usually more severe than first-time moms ever dreamed. Jesus said the signs of His coming would be like that.
We don’t know the day, but we have had the two minute warning; heard the gun and the bell. The birth pangs are extreme and almost non-stop. What we’re going to do, we must do now.
Who will stand before this generation and proclaim, "This is that which was spoken by the prophets"? You will and I will. But . . . what we’re going to do, we must do now.
Now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.
— Romans 13:11-12
